ENG: The article is devoted to the review of classical models of optimal location of enterprises. The geographical location of the company affects its performance. Wrongly chosen place for the production chain can turn it from promising to unprofitable and impractical. This paper considers the models proposed by scientists who have studied the optimality of the problem of placement, analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of these models and justified the need to update and adapt historical models to new economic realities. Problems of optimal location of enterprises are still being studied today. After analyzing the considered models, it is concluded that the use of these models in modern conditions requires their modernization and adaptation. It is also necessary to supplement the models with a factor of uncertainty in determining the optimal location of the enterprise, which will lead to the possibility of more flexible use.
