Item type:Item, Will to Truth and Gender Studies(Dnipro National University of Railway Transport named after Academician V. Lazaryan, Ukraine, 2019) Snitko, Dmytro Yu.; Varshavskyi, Oleksandr P.EN: The purpose of the paper is to establish the emergence and evolution of a gender perspective from the foundations of classical philosophy, namely, from the phenomenon of will-to-truth as the spontaneous desire of man to the knowledge of being. To achieve this goal, the following tasks are solved: 1) to investigate the way in which philosophy constitutes itself; 2) to establish how the category of "sex" appears (manifests), both in the natural and in the social contexts; 3) to determine the correlation of gender studies and philosophy. Theoretical basis. If for the methodology of gender studies it is inherent to proceed from the contextuality and value foundations of knowledge, then in this paper gender is considered directly from the being-inworld, human presence. Originality. The scientific novelty of the study is to distinguish between the will-to-truth and the will-to-knowledge (M. Foucault), which is used as a methodological method through which an attempt is made to identify the demand of sex (gender) for being as a subject of philosophy. Conclusions. As a result of the study, it was found that scientific developments in the field of gender issues in their subject matter are not mainly descended from subject sphere of classical philosophy. Sex (gender) isn’t substantiated metaphysically, and it is ontical, not ontological attribute of the human kind; its presentation as the determinating factor of the cultural history in context of femininity/masculinity`s dichotomy is engaged; this quality is similar to Nietzsche’s will to power, i.e., determination of definite knowledge. This one is later used in legal, socio-political discourse, corrects language practice, determine scientific researches depending on axiological component of culture; as the problem of social justice solving, gender as the subject of social study has lost its actuality.Item type:Item, Will to Truth and Gender Studies (preprint)(Dnipro National University of Railway Transport named after Academician V. The application of phenomenological approach and other methods of existential philosophy enabled to discover the importance of time for human existence. Significant contribution to the importance of the investigation of the action-inaction opposition was made by M. Heidegger who pointed to the main modes of human being - «authentic» and «inauthentic» in the context of human activity and passivity. Scientific novelty is for the first time the analysis of the action-inaction opposition in the context of human being was carried out. Due to the analysis the fundamental existential character of the time and consciousness and its essential relationship with active and passive forms of human being were justified. In the course of this research it was found out that time is closely connected with passive modes of human being. If classical philosophy placed emphasis on courage and associated fear with human mind and conscious decision, non-classical philosophy of the XIX century and existentialism focused on its existential and ontological character, its fundamental meaning. These aspects of fear and courage (relation with the mind and ontological character) do not contradict each other, but represent different dimensions of human being – freedom and loneliness in the world. Thus, the time and the consciousness has ontological and existential aspects, dialectical character and is closely connected with active and passive modes of human being.
