Лінгвокультурологічні та психологічні проблеми перекладу англомовних текстів жанру політичних мемуарів

| dc.description.abstract | UKR: Актуальність зумовлена стурбованістю спеціалістів у галузі перекладу, яка викликана тенденцією до зниження загальної та фахової культури перекладачів і необхідністю вивчення проявів і причин цієї проблеми. Мета статті полягає у визначенні особливостей перекладу П. Таращуком культурно-маркованої концептуальної метафори VOYAGE / МОРСЬКА ПОДОРОЖ тексту політичних мемуарів Т. Блера «Шлях» у тексті друготвору українською мовою. Для досягнення вказаної мети використано такі загальні та спеціальні методи дослідження, як метод семантико-стилістичного аналізу, методи індукції та дедукції, методи порівняльного та перекладацького аналізу тексту. Дослідження виконано на основі лінгвокультурологічного підходу до трактування термінів «концепт» і «концептосфера». Результатом дослідження є виявлення підміни культурно-маркованої концептуальної метафори VOYAGE / МОРСЬКА ПОДОРОЖ з тексту політичних мемуарів Т. Блера «Шлях» концептуальною метафорою АВТОМОБІЛЬНА ПОДОРОЖ у тексті друготвору й тих смислових втрат, яких завдало це перекладацьке рішення. Обґрунтовано неадекватність такої підміни, що підтверджено багатьма факторами лінгвокультурологічного та психологічного характеру: фундаментальністю ролі концептів SEA / МОРЕ, VOYAGE / МОРСЬКА ПОДОРОЖ, SHIP / КОРАБЕЛЬ та ISLAND BRITAIN / ОСТРІВНА БРИТАНІЯ в британській мовній картині світу, викривленням стійкої моделі мовної поведінки учасників політичного дискурсу Великобританії, унікальністю характеру функціонування в британському політичному та інших видах дискурсів метафор, утворених на основі концептів морської тематики, що зумовлено їх апелюванням до концептів-образів глибинного рівня британської національної свідомості та неспівставністю обсягів смислового навантаження порівнюваних концептуальних метафор. | uk_UA |
| dc.description.abstract | ENG: The topicality of the investigation is predetermined by the increased concern of the translation scholars and professionals over the tendency to declining general erudition and professional competence of practicing translators as well as by the need to study the manifestations and causes of the problem. The purpose of the article is to determine the peculiarities of the translation of the culturally marked conceptual metaphor VOYAGE of the text of the political memoirs by T. Blair “A Journey: My Political Life” into Ukrainian performed by P. Tarashchuk. To achieve the above-mentioned purpose, we have used such general and specific investigation methods as the method of semantic-stylistic analysis, the methods of induction and deduction, the methods of comparative and translation analysis of the text. The investigation has been carried out on the basis of the linguocultural approach to considering the terms of “concept” and “conceptosphere”. The substitution of the culturally marked conceptual metaphor VOYAGE of the text of the political memoirs by T. Blair “A Journey: My Political Life” for the culturally marked conceptual metaphor АВТОМОБІЛЬНА ПОДОРОЖ / AUTOMOBILE JOURNEY in the target text as well as the meaning losses caused by this decision of the translator have been revealed as a result of the research. The inadequacy of the substitution has been substantiated by means of numerous linguocultural and psychological factors: the fundamental role of the concepts of SEA, VOYAGE, SHIP and ISLAND BRITAIN in the British language picture of the world, distortion of the regular speech behavior model of Great Britain’s political discourse participants, the uniqueness of the way in which the nautical metaphors function in British political and other kinds of discourses which is predetermined by their appealing to the deep level British national consciousness concept-images and the incomparability of the sense load volumes of the considered conceptual metaphors. | en |
