Item Calculation of the Traction Power Supply Systems Using the Functions of Resistance(Instytut Kolejnictwa, Warszawa, 2015) Bosiy, Dmytro O.; Kosariev, Yevhen M.Show more EN: The article is devoted to the development of a new method of calculating the instantaneous traction power supply circuits of the system. On the basic of the design scheme of generalized traction substations zone provided analytical functions of the resistance. Using the known functions of the current distribution of functions putted into the concept of resistance feeders traction substations. The functions of resistance and current distribution used in a more straightforward method of calculating the instant schemes that allow to formalize electrical calculations of electrical traction power supply systems.Show more Item Calculation of the Traction Power Supply Systems Using the Functions of Resistance (preprint)(Instytut Kolejnictwa, Warszawa, 2015) Bosiy, Dmytro O.; Kosariev, Yevhen M.Show more EN: The article is devoted to the development of a new method of calculating the instantaneous traction power supply circuits of the system. Actuality. The introduction of high-speed traffic, increase weight standards of train necessitates increasing the carrying capacity of railways. Often the carrying capacity of existing sections electrified at 3.0 kV DC power supply unit limits. Such limitations include voltage decrease on the electric current collector below the allowable value for the normal operation of 2700 (2900 for high-speed V) and heating the contact wires, thereby losing their mechanical strength. Existing power supply system of RS, which have considerable installed traction substations, can not provide the required level of power density traction network for highspeed movement within 1.5 - 2 MW / km and, respectively, the required voltage quality. At the same time, the daily loading of a powerful traction substations in providing intensive schedule of trains does not exceed 20- 25%, while the energy loss in traction network peak load increases and reaches 10-15% of the energy consumed. Thus, the existing system of power traction networks is not sufficiently effective and economical, even with the application of existing methods to strengthen them. In our view, the main limiting factor for a given quality of voltage in the traction network is the use of centralized power. From this, the development of measures to improve the quality of voltage in the traction network in the implementation of high-speed traffic in a growing scarcity of energy resources is an urgent task. Scientific novelty. Using distributed power supply system with adjustable supply points combined into intelligent power supply, which enables adaptive change the characteristics of the transfer, conversion and consumption and optimize the mode of functioning of the traction power supply is suggested for improving the quality of voltage in the traction network in the implementation of high-speed and heavy traffic. Practical significance. Improving the quality of voltage in the traction network by using the proposed circuit design traction power supply will ensure the desired mode voltage and power characteristics of the traction network in the implementation of high-speed and heavy traffic while reducing electricity losses by 20-30%.Show more Item Power Quality Complex Estimation at Alternating Current Traction Substations(Дніпропетровський національний університет залізничного транспорту імені академіка В.Лазаряна, Дніпропетровськ, 2013) Bosiy, Dmytro O.Show more EN: Purpose. At alternating current traction substations are used three-winding transformers. This scheme comes to significant costs from power quality disturbances at each supplier. The most significant power quality indices at alternating current traction substation are voltage deviation, voltage unbalance and harmonic distortion. The purpose of this article is power quality complex estimation at two traction substations that work on the one district of traction network. Methodology. The measurements were made according to accepted program during 24 hours with 1 sec discretization. A few power quality analyzers PM175 are used to record data with time synchronization. The scheme of measurements means that devices are connected through current and potential transformers at the each level of voltage. Findings. Voltage level at different substation is various due to power losses in primary network. The voltage in one phase of 1-st substation is bigger than in other phases. Voltage THD values according to standard requirements are below norm only for primary 154 kV networks. For another traction and regional networks voltage THD values are above norm value. The voltage unbalances in 154 kV networks are below voltage unbalance in 35 kV networks. Besides the voltage unbalance in 154 kV network is below 2% that complies with the requirements of standard. At the same time we can consider that voltage and current spectrums consist from discrete harmonics with frequencies that multiples of the fundamental frequency. Originality. Voltages at the connection points of traction substations to supply lines are complex stationary random process that determines the voltage mode of the external power supply system of each traction substation. The flows of active and reactive power of the higher harmonics at AC traction substation are directed opposite power of the fundamental harmonic. The power flows on higher harmonics create the disturbing impact on related devices. The total power at AC traction substation consists of 61.8% of the active power, 32.5% of the reactive power of the 1st harmonic and 5.7% of the distortion power in the quadrature components. Practical value. Analysis of the quadrature components suggests that traditional approaches to reactive power compensation at the fundamental frequency will be sufficiently effective. But the influence of the distortion power on reducing energy losses must be also researched. Besides reactive power compensation should be considered with the issue of reducing the basic power quality indices to standardized values.Show more Item The Scheme Realization for the Indirect Metering of Energy Losses in a Contact Line(Дніпропетровський національний університет залізничного транспорту імені академіка В. Лазаряна, Дніпропетровськ, 2015) Kirilyuk, Tatiana I.; Bosiy, Dmytro O.Show more EN: The volume of energy losses in electric grids is showed problems which need emergency solutions in development, reconstruction and technical modernization of power networks, improved methods and tools for their operation and management in improving the accuracy of electricity metering, fundraising efficiency for electricity consumed etc. The relative energy losses in electric networks can be considered satisfactory, if they do not exceed 4-5 %. Energy losses of 10 % can be considered the maximum acceptable in terms of process of transmission of electric power by networks. Determination of energy losses in the contact line of electrified railways has a number of features that are primarily caused by variable size and location of the load which does not take into account a number of factors that affect the magnitude of losses. The indirect method of energy losses metering is based on the register values of per square ampere-hours on the feeders of traction substations. The meter of energy losses shows value of energy losses depending on the measured in the unit of time next factors. They are square ampere-hours, calculated energy losses coefficient, measurement period of energy losses and the square of the actual conversion coefficient. The matching device for analog microcircuits AD637 and AD633 was used as the realization of the circuit of the device as part of the measuring complex with the analyzer power Satec EDL-175. These analog microcircuits are done determination of the RMS value and multiplication of signals with the agreement of the input and output signals by the precision operational amplifiers OP-07. Using the developed device allowed to determine energy losses in the contact line in the real distance with an error not exceeding 5.4%.Show more
