    EN: This paper presents the results of theoretical research and real condition experiments which were conducted with the purpose of determining the influence of the open goods wagon running gear characteristic parameter deviations from their nominal values on the wheel and rail wear. The experimental results has confirmed the reliability of conclusions made on the basis of modelling.
