    Mathematical Model of the Derailed Train Wheel Motion

    ENG: It is developed a mathematical model of the derailed train wheel motion, which makes it possible to determine a change in its speed when moving on the track panel. When constructing the model the methods of theoretical mechanics and train traction were used. It was found that the highest speed reduction occurs as a consequence of the wheel impact on the sleeper. The model allows creating a generalized mathematical model of the train motion in the emergency mode.
