Item Determining Loading Patterns in the Bearing Structure of a Railroad Flatcar with a Floor Made from Sandwich Panels(PC TECHNOLOGY CENTER, 2023) Lovska, Alyona O.; Nerubatskyi, Volodymyr; Okorokov, Andrii M.; Vernyhora, Roman V.; Zhuravel, Iryna L.ENG: The object of research is the processes of emergence, perception, and redistribution of loads in the supporting structure of a flatcar with a floor made of sandwich panels. To reduce the impact of dynamic loads on the supporting structure of a flatcar, as well as the safety of goods transported in it, it is proposed to manufacture floors from sandwich panels. Within the framework of the study, mathematical modeling of the dynamic load on a flatcar when it runs in a loaded state was carried out. It was found that, taking into account the proposed solution, the accelerations acting on the supporting structure of a flatcar are reduced by 8.4 % compared to the typical one. At the same time, accelerations acting on cargo placed on a flatbed car are reduced by 11.7 %. The results of calculating the strength of sandwich panels, when arranged on a flatcar, proved the feasibility of the proposed improvement. The main indicators of dynamics of the improved flatcar structure operated in an empty state were determined. It was established that the flatcar movement is assessed as "good". A feature of the results reported here is that the improved supporting structure of a flatcar contributes not only to reducing its dynamic load but also to improving the safety of transported cargoes. The scope of practical application of the results is the engineering industry, in particular, railroad transport. The condition for the practical application of the research results is the use of energy-absorbing material in the structure of sandwich panels. The study could contribute to devising recommendations regarding the design of modern structures of railroad vehicles and increasing the efficiency of the functioning of the transportation industry.Item Determining Patterns of Vertical Load on the Prototype of a Removable Module for Long-Size Cargoes(РС Тесhnology Сеntеr, Kharkiv, Ukraine, 2022) Vatulia, Glib; Lovska, Alyona O.; Pavliuchenkov, Mykhailo; Nerubatskyi, Volodymyr; Okorokov, Andrii; Hordiienko, Denys; Vernigora, Roman V.; Zhuravel, IrinaENG: The object of this study is the processes of occurrence, exposure to, and redistribution of loads in the supporting structure of a removable module for the transportation of long cargoes. To adapt platform cars to the transportation of long loads, it is proposed to introduce a removable module with elastic-friction connections in the structure. In order to select the optimal profiles for the removable module, in terms of minimal material consumption, the calculation was carried out in the Lira software package. Based on the calculation results, a spatial model of the concept of the removable module was built. To determine the dynamic loads that act on the platform car loaded with a removable module, a mathematical simulation was carried out. It was established that the use of elastic-friction links in the structure of the removable module helps reduce its dynamic load, as well as the platform car, by 4.6%. The resulting acceleration was taken into account when calculating the strength of the removable module. The calculation results showed that the strength of the removable module under operational loads is ensured. A feature of the reported results is that the proposed design of a removable module makes it possible not only to adapt the plat-form car to the transportation of long loads but also to reduce its load in operation. The scope of practical application of the results includes the engineering industry, in particular, railroad transport. Worth noting is that the conditions for the practical use of the results imply the introduction of elastic-friction links in the structure of the removable module. The reported research will contribute to compiling recommendations for the design of modern vehicle structures, in particular removable type, as well as for improving the efficiency of rail transportation.Item Revealing the Effect of Structural Components Made of Sandwich Panels on Loading the Container Transported by Railroad(РС ТЕСHNOLOGY СЕNTЕR, Kharkiv, 2023) Vatulia, Glib; Lovska, Alyona O.; Myamlin, Sergiy S.; Stanovska, Iraida; Holofieieva, Maryna; Horobets, Volodymyr L.; Nerubatskyi, Volodymyr; Krasnokutskyi, YevhenENG: The object of this study is the processes of emergence, perception, and redistribution of loads in the supporting structure of a 1CC size container with end walls made of sandwich panels. To reduce the longitudinal load of the container under operational modes, the introduction of sandwich panels into its design is proposed. This solution is implemented on the example of its end walls as the most loaded component of the body in operation. The thickness of the sandwich panel sheet was determined, provided that the strength in operation is ensured. Mathematical modeling of dynamic load of a container with end walls made of sandwich panels placed on a platform car during shunting co-impact was carried out. It was established that taking into account the proposed improvement makes it possible to reduce the dynamic loads that the container perceives by 10 % compared to the typical structure. The results were confirmed by computer simulation of the dynamic load of the container. The models formed within the framework of the study were verified according to the F-criterion. The results of calculations for the strength of the container showed that the stresses in its structure are 15 % lower than those in the typical one. A feature of the findings is that the proposed improvement of the container helps improve its strength in operation by reducing the loads acting on it. The scope of practical use of the results is the engineering industry, namely, railroad transport. At the same time, the conditions for the practical application of the research results are the introduction of energy-absorbing material as a component of the sandwich panel. This study will contribute to devising recommendations for designing modern structures of vehicles of a modular type and for improving the efficiency of the transport industry.
