    Protection of Copyright and Related Rights in The United States of America

    ENG: The article is devoted to the study of the issue of protection of copyright and related rights. It is considered in a comparative aspect. This work examines the country - the United States of America. The level of protection of copyright and related rights is analyzed in order to identify certain ways to increase this level in our country. The article emphasizes the relevance of studying this issue due to the fact that the development of modern society leads to a significant increase in the role of intellectual property in the scientific and technological progress of many countries. It is also noted that Ukrainian legislation does not provide a clear definition of the concepts of "copyright" and "related rights." Through the analysis of regulatory acts and theoretical materials, it is concluded that copyright is understood as a set of rights that belong to the author in connection with the creation and use of a work of literature, science, art, and related rights are understood as personal non-property and property rights of intellectual property to the performance of works, as well as phonograms, videograms, and programs of broadcasting organizations.
