ENG: Abstract. The methodology for assessing the importance of railway routes by generalized ratings reduced to the geometric a criterion has been further developed. The results were obtained for the countries
of Eastern Europe, including the extension of the Rail Baltica line. The geometric average of the relative criteria was applied as a composite index for assessing the routes.
