Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Algorithms to Assess the Reliability of a Scientific Paper in Scopus: the Experience of a Translator (presentation)

ENG: The corporate ethics of Ukrainian science encourages unfair practices, in particular, scientific publications. This aspect of scientific activity is considered in the report. The research hypothesis is based on personal practical experience of translating articles into English for journals indexed in Scopus.
Ethical Component of Library Competences Design: Professional View

ENG: Objective. Substantiation of the ethical component place in the set of a modern librarians' key competencies. Methods. Conclusions and results have been obtained due to use of dialectical, socio-communicative, analytical review methods, methods of systematization, comparative analysis, bibliographic analysis, content analysis and document analysis. Results. The need to supplement the educational standards on the specialty 029 "Information, Library and Archival Affairs" bachelor's and master's levels with ethical component - the librarian's understanding of the principles and values of information and professional ethics, academic integrity and capacity to follow them was justified. Conclusions. Adherence to professional ethical norms and the spread of the academic integrity culture creates the conditions for the demand for other librarian' professional competencies, because it provides the value of knowledge and personal theoretical and applied achievements. Given the urgent need to spread the culture of academic integrity in the scientific and educational environment and the lack of relevant educational goals in bachelor and master educational standards on library and information affairs NGO "Ukrainian Library Association" in frames of the compensatory function offers the scientific and methodological basis for the formation of the academic integrity culture as an important competence of a modern librarian.

Педагогічна функція університетської бібліотеки в умовах цифровізації та воєнного стану в Україні

UKR: Висвітлюються результати вивчення педагогічного аспекту в бібліотечній діяльності бібліотек університетів технічного спрямування в умовах воєнного стану. Для розкриття педагогічного аспекту в бібліотечній діяльності в умовах воєнного стану в Україні було проаналізовано веб-сайти та звіти наукових бібліотек технічних університетів за 2022–2024 рр. Виокремлено основні напрями: формування інформаційної, цифрової та медіа культури, академічної доброчесності та формування компетентностей в контексті відкритої науки. Зазначено, що незважаючи на складні умови сьогодення, академічні бібліотеки активно впроваджують нові форми і напрями діяльності з організації навчання студентів (як в межах обов’язкових чи вибіркових дисциплін, так і поза межами навчального процесу), науково-педагогічного персоналу та колег на основі різних стилів навчання.

Адаптована система цифрових компетентностей забезпечує користувачу базові навички роботи з інформацією в інформаційному середовищі. Це забезпечує якісне та ефективне застосування навичок з АП.
