Item type:Item, Abstracts of the international scientific and practical conference “IInnovations in construction and smart building technologies for comfortable, energy efficient and sustainable lifestyle”. (20–21 February 2024, Dnipro, Ukraine ).(Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Enginering and Architecture, 2024) Savytskyi, Mykola; Sukhyi, Kostiantyn; Danishevskyy, Vladislav; Radkevych, Anatolii V.; Nazarenko, Ivan; Proidak, Yurii S.ENG: Conference abstracts provide the findings of research and practical application in the field of innovations in construction and smart building technologies for comfortable, energy efficient and sustainable lifestyle by scholars, representatives of education, business, government to be used for reconstruction of Ukraine (in terms of the project ‘A novel decentralized edge-enabled prescriptive and proactive framework for increased energy efficiency and well-being in residential buildings’, sponsored by HORIZON 2020 EU programme (grant no. 958284 − PRECEPT).Item type:Item, Accessibility of uin Sunan Kalijaga Library for Students with Disabilities: an Evaluation(Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies, Dnipro, 2024) Marwiyah, Marwiyah; Zain, Labibah; Yuna Chasanawati, Asri; Khotimah, KhusnulENG: This research aims to identify the accessibility of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Library for users with disabilities to uncover the gap between the standard of library services for people with disabilities and the condition of the library to support an accessible environment. This research applies qualitative methods to explore the accessibility of library services for users with disabilities using the IFLA checklist, a standard for providing library services for people with disabilities consisting of 3 main areas; physical access, media format, and service and communication. UIN Sunan Kalijaga Library has met the most of criteria for providing services for users with disabilities. Physical access that covers outside the library, getting into the library and access to library collections and services mostly has met the standard. However, the absence of an elevator prevents users with wheelchairs from accessing the upper floor in which the library collections are stored which means that access to library collections is hindered. To address this problem, the library provides the Difable Corner, a department for users of all types of disabilities. The research also found that for library collections, the library provides more for the blind, while for the deaf it is still not maximized. Therefore, the library, in collaboration with the Center for Disabilities Service provides volunteers for students who are not yet fulfilled. Being under the parent institution that promotes inclusive value requires UIN Sunan Kalijaga Library to provide an inclusive environment that welcomes all users regardless of their abilities. The library has made some effort to fulfill the standards for providing a library for the disabled. The gap between ideal standards and real conditions in the library related to accessibility for the disabled can be considered to improve inclusive-based library services.Item type:Item, Business Image of the Enterprise as a Key Factor of Its Competitiveness(Jourfond, Dnipro, 2024) Faizova, Olha. L.; Faizova, Svitlana O.; Motiakin, Ihor V.ENG: Purpose. The goal is to improve the methodology for evaluating the image of a value-oriented enterprise based on the concept of a balanced scorecard (BSC). Methodology. System-structural analysis and the method of logical generalization were used to clarify the essence and place of the image in the structure of the company's intangible assets, factor and economic-mathematical analysis - to form the BSC management panel and calculate the integral index of the corporate image; critical analysis - to compare alternative approaches to BSC formation and the role of the company's image in the implementation of its value growth strategy. Findings. The role of intangible assets, business image of the enterprise as a strategic factor of success, competitiveness of the enterprise on the domestic and international markets is determined. As a basis for assessing the image of a domestic value-oriented enterprise, we chose the normative method of integral assessment of the investment attractiveness of enterprises and organizations. It involves determining the financial and economic status of the enterprise based on financial reporting data and includes the calculation of a group of indicators, the choice of which depends on the goals set by the investor. According to this approach, image assessment should consider assessment of financial performance, financial stability, and liquidity; results of analysis of business activity and profitability; scale of business; market indicators. The considered the sequence of calculating the integral index of the image of a value-oriented enterprise using the example of MF "Favourit Plus" LLC, which is one of the leaders of Ukraine among meat processing enterprises and aims to become a European-level enterprise. The proposed methodology for evaluating the image of a value-oriented enterprise, which considers the specifics of domestic enterprises, including branch ones. As its basis, the concept of a balanced scorecard - BSC was chosen. Originality. Considering the company's image as an element of competitive advantage means changing its place and role among the company's resources. An improved method of assessing the image of a value-oriented enterprise, which, unlike the known ones, involves the calculation of an integral index of the enterprise's corporate image based on a Balanced Scorecard. A comprehensive assessment of the indicator takes into account the following positive characteristics and rationale for the choice: a significant orientation to the expectations of the investment community; the possibility of taking into account the contribution of the enterprise's intellectual capital to the creation of its future value; ease of calculation and availability of perceiving the logic of the indicator at all levels of management; the ability to navigate the key factors of value creation and the value image of the enterprise to lower levels of management. Practical value. The conclusions of the work can be used in the process of improving the corporate governance system of the enterprise.Item type:Item, Comparative Mathematical Analysis of Transmission and Axial Disc Brakes(Український державний університет науки і технологій, Дніпро, 2024) Monia, Andrii G.; Bychkova, D. M.ENG: Purpose. A comparative study of axial and transmission disc-pad brakes. The task of the work is the theoretical determination of the braking torque and the force of pressing the pads against the disk in different braking modes, as well as the determination of the area of optimal operating modes of the indicated brakes. The methods. Comparative mathematical analysis. Findings. With equal dimensions of the two types of disc brakes and an even distribution of the braking torque between the wheel pairs, the transmission creates a greater braking torque on each of the four wheels of the traction section due to the gear ratio of the axial gearbox. Installing a disc brake on the axle of a wheel pair with a central location of the drive gear wheel allows you to change the masses of the half-axles, which means to eliminate self-oscillations that destroy the drive axle under the action of resonant torsional vibrations. The heavier the rolling stock of the train being transported, or the greater the slope of the track on the descent, the smaller the braking torque can be applied to the wheel pair, to exclude its blocking and clutch failure. The obtained results show that the smaller the moments of inertia and stiffness of the wheels, half-axles and transmission elements (gear wheels, shafts, etc.), the smaller the braking torque required to stop the locomotive on the same braking path. But the higher the speed of the train before braking, the greater the braking torque should be. Originality. Practical value. Taking into account the above-mentioned features of disc brakes, multilevel backup of brake systems of heavy mining locomotives operating on track slopes of up to 50 ‰ should be considered justified and necessary. Such locomotives should have both disc transmission brakes, as more efficient, and disc axle brakes as safer.Item type:Item, Development of a Framework for Conceptual Design of RTS (FCD_RTS)(Український державний університет науки і технологій, ІВК «Системні технології», Дніпро, 2024) Kosolapov, Anatolii A.; Egorov, Oleh Yo.; Parpolita, Oleksandr M.; Zhuk, StepanENG: The paper proposes new results in improving the CoDeCS framework for the conceptual design of complex systems. Through acquiring new skills and knowledge, project libraries strengthened the relationship between academia and society by encouraging higher education institutions to incorporate citizen science into their research and educational strategies. Tools and resources were created to support citizen scientific initiatives. These incorporated best practices and guidelines for educational institutions and libraries. This presentation will show the lessons learned from project activities and gives insight into future developments.Item type:Item, Expert Assessments as a Method of Determining the Efficiency of Intellectual and Innovative Technologies(Український державний університет науки і технологій, Дніпро, 2024) Solomennyi Oleksandr O.ENG: Purpose. The purpose of the article is to study the role of expert evaluations in determining the effectiveness of intellectual and innovative technologies. Methodology. Optimization methods, management decision-making methods, as well as mathematical apparatus, are the basis for building a model for determining the effectiveness of intellectual and innovative technologies. Findings. The method of expert evaluations is an important tool for determining the efficiency of intellectual and innovative technologies. Its use allows obtaining objective data and forecasts regarding the potential and prospects for the development of innovations, which creates prerequisites for further improving the competitiveness of enterprises and the economy as a whole. The method of additive convolution of criteria allows you to systematize the decision-making process in the conditions of complex systems with many criteria, which helps to make the process more objective and effective. Originality. The scientific novelty of the obtained results lies in the application of the additive convolution method, since the indicators of the ideal option will be obtained only among the available alternatives, and not globally for determining the effectiveness of intellectual and innovative technologies. Practical value. The results of the research allow us to conclude that expert evaluations are one of the convenient and effective methods of analyzing and determining the effectiveness of intellectual and innovative technologies.Item type:Item, Impact of Social Media Information Disorders in Librarians’ Community (abstracts)(Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies, Dnipro, 2024) Yap, Joseph; Hajdu, Barát Ágnes; Kiszl, PéterENG: Librarians' role is crucial in combating information disorders. It consists in improving the structuring of the factors of international competitiveness of the enterprise. Methodology. System-structural analysis and the method of logical generalization were used to clarify the essence of international competitiveness and factors of its improvement at the enterprise level, factor and critical analysis - to substantiate the role of intellectual capital as a key factor of international competitiveness in the conditions of globalization of the world economy. Findings. The work proves the necessity of dividing the factors of international competitiveness of the enterprise into tangible and intangible ones. The essence and structure of intangible factors of the international competitiveness of the enterprise were analyzed. The leading role of the enterprise's intellectual capital in increasing international competitiveness, which meets the requirements of the innovative development of the world economy, is determined. Management capital acquires the status of an integrating element of intellectual capital, acts as a driving factor in the growth of the quality of human, informational and organizational capital of the enterprise. The effectiveness of the management decision-making system, i.e. the ability to successfully develop business, create new, more advanced technologies, brands, acquires much greater value for increasing competitiveness compared to the already accumulated technological potential, tangible assets of the enterprise. Originality. The analysis of the factors of the international competitiveness of the enterprise enables the conclusion that the innovative development of the economy is characterized by changes in the structure of intellectual capital, which is traditionally represented by the human, informational and organizational capital of the enterprise. In contrast to their existing classification, it is advisable to single out management capital as an independent component, based on the growing role of the management factor in increasing the international competitiveness of the enterprise. Practical value. The conclusions of the work can be used in the process of improving the corporate governance system of the enterprise.Item type:Item, Library Transformation in Indonesia: a Case Study on the Implementation of Social Inclusion in Purwakarta Regency Public Library (abstracts)(Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies, Dnipro, 2024) Meva, Titis Ardia; Yanto, Andri; Lusiana, ElnovaniENG: Social inclusion-based library transformation can be an agent of change in supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) resolution. At the same time, as the case of Central Asia shows, there are such problems in the information and library support of education and research in the country’s universities as “patchwork” automation, the lack of unified, internationally compliant standards and protocols for the creation, storage and exchange of data and metadata, a focus on the maintenance of the printed collection, rather than on the development of electronic information resources and the introduction of modern tools for working with information. There is no unified, operational and transparent system of statistical and analytical reporting on the level of development of the functional and information potential of academic libraries and the availability and use of their educational and scientific information resources at the republican and regional levels. The lack of a united catalog of academic libraries causes duplication of work on the creation of bibliographic records and metadata and not sufficiently complete and effective information retrieval and delivery of necessary information to library users. Another problem is the compliance by academic libraries with copyrights for educational and scientific publications presented in digital format. Another major problem is the gap between the contemporary library practice requirements and outdated educational programs for training, retraining and advanced training of library personnel. The development of corporate interaction and interoperability between academic libraries based on relevant management decisions, modern information and communication technologies and modernization of the librarians’ training system are suggested as solutions to the problems mentioned above. The result of their implementation will be to improve the quality of information and library support for educational and research processes in universities and, accordingly, to improve the quality of higher education in the country.Item type:Item, Proceedings of the 23rd International Student Scientific Conference ‘Engineer of the Third Millennium’(Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies, Dnipro, Ukraine, 2024)ENG: The collection of papers presents the materials of the 23rd International Student Scientific Conference "Engineer of the Third Millennium", held at Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies. The development of citizen science activities opens up opportunities for the involvement of libraries, which are already recognised as experts in providing information, support, assistance and communication services to the academic community. Libraries are often seen as facilitators of citizen science projects, organising and providing communication and information dissemination, organising and delivering training and coordinating other activities. These activities require the ability to adapt librarians' competences to new activities, different contexts and audiences, and to develop new skills and competences. Librarians need to acquire the competences to participate effectively in citizen science projects. This presentation introduces the experience from the development of an online training course for librarians and a full-day training courses in three Baltic countries.Item type:Item, The Role of Libraries in Citizen Science (presentation)(Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies, Dnipro, 2024) Tautkeviciene, Gintare; Pranckute, AisteENG: Citizen science is part of open science, which is about engaging the public through research, collecting and using scientific data, and applying science-based knowledge to solve problems of public interest. The usual course of our lives has been broken forever, and Ukrainian society has faced many additional challenges. Libraries create the memory of the nation and shape national identity, collect, store and provide public access to information sources, including documentary evidence of the Russian-Ukrainian war. Libraries develop human capital: they provide free access to information and offer opportunities for lifelong learning, development of reading skills, critical thinking, information, digital and media literacy, and mastery of Ukrainian and foreign languages. Libraries promote scientific discovery, innovation, and the integration of Ukrainian science into the global scientific environment. Libraries are centers of psychological support: they help people maintain and strengthen their resilience. Libraries are spaces for civic engagement and bringing people together to overcome challenges. Libraries are also volunteer centers, bringing together people who care and organizing assistance for IDPs and the Armed Forces.
