dc.description.abstractUKR: Стаття присвячена дослідженню проблем трансформації соціально-економічного становища домінуючої в Остзейському краї спільноти – балтійських лицарів – в умовах формування нових Балтійських країн. Особливу увагу приділено дослідженню історичних, соціальних, економічних передумов тропу балтійського лицарства від панівного положення до рівноправного та упосліджуваного. Розкрито основні етапи еволюції політичної та економічної влади балтійського лицарства на початку ХХ століття. Виявлено причини та механізми демонтажу проостзейського аграрного галузевого протекціонізму, досліджено напрямки та наслідки дискримінаційних реформ К. Улманіса, спрямованих на ліквідацію системи конкурентних переваг балтійців. Показано рестриктивну сутність запроваджених в межах національної економічної політики обмежувальних заходів та їх негативний вплив на міжнародну торгівлю й міжнародну економічну діяльність Латвії, що обумовило додаткове погіршення економічної ситуації під час Великої депресії та у міжвоєнний період не тільки для імматрикульованого лицарства і балтійських німців, але й інших етнічних груп.uk_UA
dc.description.abstractENG: The article is devoted to the study of the problems of transformation of the socio-economic position of the dominant community in the Baltic region (the Baltic nobility) in the conditions of the formation of the new Baltic states. Attention is paid to the study of the historical, social, and economic prerequisites of the trope of Baltic knighthood from a dominant position to an equal and subservient position. The main stages of the evolution of the political and economic power of Baltic knighthood at the beginning of the 20th century are revealed. The reasons and mechanisms of dismantling the pro-knighthood agrarian sectoral protectionism are identified. The directions and consequences of K. Ulmanis discriminatory reforms aimed at eliminating the system of competitive advantages of the Baltics are investigated. The restrictive orientation of the action of restrictive measures on international trade and international economic activity of Latvia is shown. The restrictive essence of the measures introduced within the framework of the national economic policy and their negative impact on international trade and international economic activity of Latvia are shown. This led to an additional deterioration of the economic situation during the Great Depression and in the interwar period not only for the matriculated knights and Baltic Germans, but also for other ethnic groups.en
