Digital Art Collections of Libraries of Higher Education Institutions

ENG: Objective. Digital collections of artistic direction are of great value to society from cultural, social and economic points of view. The article aims to study the existing digital art collections created by libraries of higher education institutions, to analyse the subject matter, structure, assess the scope, accessibility and usability. Methods. The study was conducted on the basis of a content analysis of 5 digital art collections launched by libraries of leading higher education institutions of Ukraine: National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Ukrainian Catholic University, Scientific Library of Yurii Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts, Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts. Results. A content analysis of digital art collections of libraries of higher education institutions of Ukraine was conducted. Integration into the scientific and educational space of the studied collections occurs mainly through their use in the educational process and research practices, which allows us to state that the potential of the studied resources remains only partially realized. Conclusions. It was found that digital art collections are currently presented in a rather fragmentary manner within the framework of local digital projects of individual higher education institutions. The main problematic aspects of the technical, technological and organizational implementation of digital art collections were identified. Directions for their development were proposed.
Modern Tools and Methods of Information Use in the Activities of Dnipro’s Libraries, Archives and Museums

ENG: Objective. The article is devoted to the study of means and methods of information use, as well as meeting the information needs of remote users in the activities of Dnipro’s libraries, archives and museums. Methods. The analysis method was used to define the concept of “information”, the terms “modern means of information use” and “modern methods of information use”, as well as to examine the products and services provided through digital communications, considered as tools of information use and meeting the information needs of remote users of these document and information structures. The methods and the means of information use were also analysed. The synthesis method was used to make conclusions. Results. It was determined that the means of information use may include various channels and tools employed for obtaining, collecting, processing, reproducing, disseminating, and perceiving information. The types of digital communications used by libraries, archives, and museums were also examined, including their division into internal and external communications. It is stated that external digital communications can be grouped and contribute to creating and utilizing shared information resources, products, and services with other institutions. They are also effective means of information use and meeting the information needs of remote users. Conclusions. Establishing the presence of document and information structures in social networks is a crucial aspect of their activities. Digital communications in social media have become effective tools for engaging new users, providing information, facilitating information use, and meeting the information needs of remote audiences.

ENG: This paper examines modern tools and methods of information use in the activities of libraries, archives, and museums in Dnipro. Website resources and social media presence are analyzed as important instruments of digital communication. The role of innovative services (electronic catalogs, databases, online reading rooms, virtual exhibitions, chatbots) in meeting the informational needs of remote users is identified.
Scientific Achievements of the Leader of Modern Ukrainian Librarianship V. Ilhanaieva: Bio-bibliometric Analysis

ENG: Objective. The article aims to highlight the essence and possibilities of biobibliometrics in determining the scientific productivity of scientists, in particular, the scientific achievements of one of the most outstanding researchers in librarianship V. Ilhanaieva. Methods. Bio-bibliometric analysis was the main method used in the study to determine the current state of science and technology in the field of social communications. The methods of analysis and synthesis were also used. Results. The results of the bio-bibliometric analysis of the scientific activity of the leader of modern domestic librarianship V. Ilhanaieva are presented by characterizing her general scientific productivity and defining the features of achievements at individual stages of the research activity in the field of social communications. Conclusions. It has been proven the dependence of developing science and technology on scientists' research activity and their social connections, as well as functional connections between elements of biographical information and bibliographic data. Wherein the prospects of biobibliometrics as a special scientific tool for such studies are determined.
Scientific Schools of the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture through the Prism of Google Academy Scientometrics

ENG: Objective. The article aims to highlight the role and importance of officially recognized scientific schools at the Kharkiv State Academy of Documentary and Information Culture using data from Google Scholar. The research was conducted during July-August 2024. Methods. The study employs scientometric analysis as the main method for determining the current state of science and technology in the field of social communications, alongside methods of analysis and synthesis. The analysis method was used to study the scientific literature on the research topic, the professional development path of the leaders of the scientific schools of the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture, and the terms used in the study. The synthesis method was used to write the conclusions of the research. Results. The results of the analysis of scientometric profiles of the leaders of these scientific schools in Google Scholar are presented. The study also establishes the expediency of using scientometric analysis of profiles in Google Scholar to determine the state and trends in the development of scientific fields and industries. Conclusions. The article demonstrates the potential of analyzing scientometric profiles of researchers in Google Scholar to assess their overall scientific productivity and the nuances of achievements at different stages of research activities in the field of social communications.
