ENG: The object of this study is the process of goods delivery in international road transport using various types of logistics chains. The problem being solved is due to the need to develop recommendations for exporters of goods to reformat or design new supply chains during wartime. The expediency of organizing foreign trade operations by the cargo owners' own forces or with the involvement of enterprises providing logistics consulting services is considered. A simulation model of goods delivery in international road traffic was built and implemented in the GPSS World simulation automation package. The model involves the optimization of organizational and technological processes related to the activity of both a separate link and the entire supply chain. The study takes into account the components of the time characteristics of the performance of preparatory work when establishing cooperation with institutions and organizations, as well as the direct service of the exporter. The application of the developed model in practical activities will provide an opportunity for exporters to obtain information about the duration and reliability of the stages of a foreign trade operation and the feasibility of involving consulting enterprises in cooperation. At the same time, the simulation results reflect the performance indicators of the proposed supply chains when delivering goods by road transport along various routes. The proposed simulation model will make it possible to reduce the time spent searching for links in the formation of a supply chain by 8–12 %, and the duration of a foreign trade operation by 10–14 %. Thus, the reliability of cooperation with intermediary organizations will increase by 8–11 %.

Construction of a Simulation Model of the Work of a Transport and Forwarding Enterprise in Organizing Multimodal Cargo Transportation
(TECHNOLOGY CENTER PC, Kharkiv, 2024) Lebid, Ievgenii; Luzhanska, Nataliia; Lebid, Iryna; Mazurenko, Alexander; Roi, Maksym; Mykhailenko, Iryna; Yelnikova, Lidiia O.; Tihov, Oleksii
ENG: The object of this study is the process of rendering transport and forwarding services when organizing multimodal cargo transportation in international traffic. The task to tackle was predetermined by the need to devise recommendations for choosing the optimal cargo transportation route, taking into account the individual requirements of the customer and performance indicators of the forwarders at the transport and forwarding company. A simulation model of the work of a transport and forwarding company in the organization of multimodal transportation of goods was built and implemented in the GPSS World simulation automation software. The model involves the optimization of the duration of service provision and makes it possible to determine the required number of transportation department specialists to enable effective cooperation with customers. When constructing the model, the duration of business processes in the organization of multimodal transportation was taken into account. In addition, the model accounts for the probability of errors and service delays, as well as the average delay time when errors occur, which will make it possible to take into account the additional work time of the forwarder to eliminate them. The application of the built model in practice will allow specialists at transport and forwarding companies to organize multimodal transportation according to several alternative routes that meet the individual needs of the customer. It will also make it possible to determine the optimal number of forwarders needed to work at the multimodal transportation department. In this case, the duration of rendering transport and forwarding services will be reduced by 12–16 %, the waiting time in queues for service will decrease by 9–13 %, and the efficiency of the work of specialists at the multimodal transportation department will increase by 9–14 %.

Construction of a Simulation Model of the Work of a Warehouse Enterprise as a Link in the Logistics Chain
(TECHNOLOGY CENTER PC, Kharkiv, 2025) Lebid, Ievgenii; Luzhanska, Nataliia; Lebid, Iryna; Mazurenko, Alexander; Mykhailenko, Iryna; Sharai, Svitlana
ENG: This study investigates the process of organizing the work of a warehouse enterprise when servicing customers. The task set is to devise recommendations for planning the staffing of a warehouse enterprise, taking into account the duration of rendering services to customers. A simulation model of the work of a warehouse enterprise when servicing customers has been built and implemented in the GPSS World simulation modeling automation package. The model involves determining the duration of warehouse service and determining the required number of personnel to enable the work of the business entity by areas of activity. When constructing the model, the duration of the types of work performed at individual stages of service performed by the warehouse enterprise personnel when processing foreign trade cargo was taken into account. In addition, the model takes into account the probability of errors and delays in rendering warehouse services at each stage of the business entity’s work, as well as the average delay time in the presence of errors. This can make it possible to determine the duration of additional employment of the enterprise personnel associated with the elimination of errors made in all types of work. Applying the devised model in practice will allow owners of warehouse enterprises to organize and plan activities of the business entity when servicing customers. This will also make it possible to determine the duration of rendering warehouse services when performing foreign trade operations, taking into account the indicators of the efficiency of specialists. At the same time, the probability of refusal to provide warehouse services to customers could decrease by 17% while the throughput capacity of the enterprise would increase by 22%.
