Scientometric and Bibliometric Activities as Important Areas of Activities in University Libraries

ENG: The growth of scientific information arrays and their evaluation for information management purposes is increasing every day. Scientific libraries are trying to further manage this process with new, digital opportunities in addition to traditional methods and are introducing new evaluation methods using modern methodology. Consolidated international standards have gradually been formed, so it is important to adapt national projects to these standards. It is proposed to expand the participation of academic libraries in determining the national h-index.

UKR: Зростання обсягів наукової інформації та її оцінка з метою управління інформацією щодня збільшуються. Наукові бібліотеки намагаються додатково управляти цим процесом за допомогою нових цифрових можливостей на додаток до традиційних методів і впроваджують нові методи оцінки з використанням сучасної методології. Поступово формуються консолідовані міжнародні стандарти, тому важливо адаптувати національні проекти до цих стандартів. Пропонується розширити участь академічних бібліотек у визначенні національного h-індексу.
