Item type:Item, Adaptation of Ukrainian Grain Elevators for Unit Train Loading(Kaunas University of Technology, Kaunas, Lithuania, 2018) Kozachenko, Dmytro M.; Bobrovsky, Volodymyr I.; Ochkasov, Oleksandr B.; Shepotenko, Anatolii P.; Hermaniuk, Yuliia M.ENG: The aim of the paper is to improve approaches to the design and operation of private sidings of grain elevators for loading of unit trains. The research is based on the methods of organizing of railway operation. One of the main methods of reducing costs in the logistics chain, which provides for the export of grain cargoes is the using of unit train technology for transportation. Introduction of this technology in Ukraine is limited by the low loading capacity of elevators. In the paper the basic schemes of track development of elevator private sidings and analyzes the use of different technical means for performing shunting operations are presented. The results of the performed research can be used for designing and reconstruction of the existing elevators and for building the new ones, as well as for estimating the costs associated with different logistic schemes for grain delivery to seaports. As result the work develops a methodology and obtains a technical-operational assessment of the technical equipment and the operation technology grain elevator private sidings for loading of unit trains.Item type:Item, Adaptive Management of Transport Logistics in Agricultural Enterprises(Academic Research Publishing Group (ARPG), 2022) Deineha, Oleksandr; Chymosh, Kateryna; Kobylynska, Tetiana; Nazarov, Oleksii A.; Liapa, Mykola; Sapotnitska, NataliiaENG: Agriculture is a complex logistics system with some features and limitations. The logistics system usually operates in conditions of pronounced uncertainty, characteristic random processes, so the aim of the article is to study and develop recommendations for improving the adaptability of transport logistics management in agricultural enterprises. In the article, the authors considered the specifics of logistics processes occurring in agriculture. The importance of cooperation in the development of logistics of the agro-industrial complex formed based on intersectoral cooperation of public transport enterprises, institutions, service and infrastructure organizations, which have separate transport units, united by technological and economic ties, and use a variety of resources of the region for the formation and implementation of transport services. The financial content of cluster development as a tool of competitiveness and innovative activity of agricultural enterprises is reflected, which allows realizing the available potential to increase sales.Item type:Item, Agent-Based Simulation Model of Multimodal Iron Ore Concentrate Transportation(National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, Kyiv, 2023) Namazov, Manafaddin; Matsiuk, Viacheslav; Bulgakova, Iuliia; Nikolaienko, Iryna; Vernyhora, Roman V.ENG: Most global supply chains are implemented through the use of some different types of transport. This especially applies to general cargo: iron ore, oil, grain. As the participants in the transport process increase, the risks of delays, interoperational downtime, and delays in deliveries increase. Therefore, the improvement of multimodal cargo transportation remains an urgent scientific and applied problem. The aim of studying was to research technical and operational parameters of the multimodal supply chain of cargo delivery (on the example of iron ore concentrate). The research's aim of the study was realized by the development of an agent-based simulation model. The simulation model is implemented in the Any Logic Research Edition environment with Java SE, as this toolkit allows combining discrete-event and agent-based approaches in the simulation simultaneously. As a result of the experiment with the developed simulation model, it was found that: 1) approximately 40% of the delivery time is spent waiting for the transport unit to load (8%) and freight being under collecting up to the loading rate into the transport unit (33%); 2) the sensitivity experiment of the model has determined that of all the variable technological parameters of the basic model, the difference in the ratio between the rate of loading of the railway train and the sea vessel has the greatest influence on the average time of freight delivery; 3) the relationship between the capacity of the vessel (with a constant rate of mass shipment into the railway train) and the average time of shipment collecting to the rate of loading into the vessel in case of accidental arrival of freight by rail in the transshipment terminal is highly approximate linear dependence. The results of the research can be used to improve the logistics chains for the delivery of iron ore concentrate from Ukraine to other countries.Item type:Item, Analysis of Design of Passenger Cars Bogies for High speed Movement(The Silesian University of Technology, Poland, 2014) Kharchenko, Aleksandr V.EN: This paper gives an overview of the existing models of passenger cars bogies for high-speed movement, both Ukrainian production and production of other countries. As a result of this analysis it were determined the main tendencies to improve the design of running parts of passenger cars for high-speed movement. Also it was made a classification of bogies of passenger cars on different criteria.Item type:Item, Analysis of Possibilities for Integrating the Transport System of Ukraine into the European Transport Network(Видавничий дім «Гельветика», 2023) Nesterenko, Halyna I.; Muzykin, Mykhailo I.; Strelko, Oleh H.; Bibik, Svitlana I.; Aleksieieva, A. O.ENG: This article is devoted to the analysis of transport networks of such European countries as Ukraine, Hungary, and Romania. The article provides an analysis of the peculiarities in the movement organization in these countries. The transport systems of these countries were researched since during the war the issue of the interaction of the automobile transport networks exactly in these countries became particularly relevant. After all, there are incredibly long queues at the checkpoints in Poland because of strikes by Polish customs officers. And, therefore, the routes through Romania and Hungary are the most realistic both during the export of goods from Ukraine and to import humanitarian goods. The joint use of Europe's integrated systems is a necessary component in the organization of the effective operation of road transport, as it ensures increased efficiency in the use of the motor vehicle fleet and personnel; reduction of costs for maintenance, fuel, lubricants due to optimization of routes and reduction of non-productive vehicle mileage; reduction of the need to expand the motor vehicle fleet; clearer prospective planning of work based on objective information about the real mileage of each vehicle unit and reduction of losses related to repairs and expansion of the range of services and prompt response to requests. It is advisable to conduct further research in the direction of adapting the use of augmented reality technology in the driver's navigation systems.Item type:Item, Assessing the Efficiency of Centralized Use of Train Formations within an Extensive Supply Network for Metallurgical Production(TECHNOLOGY CENTER PC, Kharkiv, 2025) Zaruba, Oleksandr V.; Okorokov, Andrii M.; Vernyhora, Roman V.; Prokopa, Oleh I.; Khomenko, Yurii L.ENG: This study investigates a transportation-technological system that enables raw material supply by rail to meet the needs of a metallurgical enterprise. The task addressed is to assess the effectiveness of centralized use of train shipments in an extensive supply network for the needs of metallurgical production. The hypothesis of the study assumes that under conditions of centralized management of the rolling stock fleet of railroad transport within an extensive supply network, its number will be smaller than in the case of a non-centralized one. A mathematical and simulation model has been built in the AnyLogic University Researcher environment using agent and discrete-event approaches. The main criterion is the minimization of the average delivery time; additional criteria are the optimal use of the working fleet of railroad cars and train locomotives. Applying them in combination makes it possible to optimize the working fleet of railroad cars and locomotives, taking into account the extensiveness of the supply network and the conditions of centralized management. It was experimentally established that with centralized fleet management, fluctuations and volumes of metallurgical raw material residues at the enterprise depend on the loading rate of railroad cars of the sending or group of railroad cars of the stepped routes. According to the calculated values of the determination coefficients, the approximation by the exponential function turned out to be denser. The variability of raw material residues decreases with a change in the technical loading rate of the train or railroad car batch. It was established that the difference between the standard deviation for the train loading rate of 4000 t (σ(х) = 4524.7 t) and the standard deviation of 2606.5 t (σ(х) = 4524.7 t) is 1918.2 t. This corresponds to 42% of the initial value of the indicator. The proposed approach allows for a more accurate assessment of the need for a working fleet of railroad cars and locomotives, as well as improves the efficiency of transportation management.Item type:Item, Assessing the Feasibility of Electric Road Transport in Europe Using the Integral Emissions Index(The Silesian University of Technology, Katowice, Poland, 2025) Bosyi, Dmytro O.; Zemskyi, Denys R.; Biltsan, Kostiantyn M.; Borycheva, Svitlana V.ENG: This article reviews the development of electric road transport and assesses its feasibility in European countries based on an analysis of CO₂ emissions using an integral index. Electric road transport is evolving in three main directions: battery-powered vehicles, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, and road electrification. Battery electric vehicles are widely used, but their future may be constrained by issues related to cost, charging infrastructure, and raw material availability. Hydrogen-powered vehicles offer fast refueling but require substantial investments and strict safety standards. Road electrification includes both contact and wireless energy transfer systems. Contact-based systems, in particular, provide high power and low energy losses, making them optimal for vehicles with significant energy demands. The environmental efficiency of electric vehicles largely depends on the electricity source. Countries with a high share of renewable energy, such as Norway and France, demonstrate greater environmental efficiency in electric vehicle adoption. Special attention should be given to road electrification, which reduces the duration of battery-powered autonomous driving and allows for smaller battery sizes, thereby extending their lifespan. This approach not only increases battery longevity but also has a positive environmental impact by reducing emissions associated with battery production and disposal.Item type:Item, Assessment of Cargo Delivery Quality Using Fuzzy Set Apparatus(SPC Научно-издательская корпорация, ОАЕ, 2018) Kyrychenko, Hanna; Statyvka, Yurii; Strelko, Oleh; Berdnychenko, Yulia; Nesterenko, Halyna I.ENG: Abstract. The influence of the existing operation conditions for the time of cargo transportation, i.e. ferrous metals to the port station, was investi-gated. It was proposed to carry out the management of cargo delivery on the basis of determining the values of cargo handling duration while implementing the stages of the schedule. It was proposed to carry out assessment of the delivery process, including transportation using the fuzzy set apparatus. To determine the quality of transportation, an ordered categorized scale of values of the duration of cargo's staying in certain conditions at delivery stages was proposed. The assessment of deviations at all the stages of transportation with the use of linguistic definitions of conditions allows quantifying such an indicator as the transportation quality. The characteristics of deviations during transportation are provided in the linguistic form to the dispatching unit for making a decision. The revealed regularities in devia-tions from the standard schedules of trains during delivery of cargos are an objective basis for taking into account them in the mathemati-cal models of the forecast of time of cargo delivery at each of the defined stages of transportation. The data on the forecasted and actual transportations are accumulated in the existing information base, forming data files for assessing the quality of the transportation process, the adequacy of the mathematical model and correcting of the model in case of significant organizational or technical changes.Item type:Item, Assessment of Processing Capacity of Railway Stations Based on Statistical Analysis Methods(Institut za istraživanja i projektovanja u privredi, Beograd, 2025) Taran, Ihor; Tilemisova, Aigul; Kozachenko, Dmytro M.; Verlan, Anatoliy I.; Grevtsov, SerhiiENG: The purpose of the study is to improve the methods of assessing the processing capacity of railway stations based on scientific observation data. The paper considers a large private station that provides transport services to port terminals when performing railway and water transportation. The research is performed based on methods of analysis of time series and theory of operation of railways. The study established the maximum permissible volume of work for the port station and also assessed the impact of the combination of diverse types of goods on the amount of its processing capacity. The scientific novelty of the work is to improve the methods of evaluating the processing capacity of railway stations based on the methods of statistical data analysis. Unlike the existing method, the method allows you to more accurately consider local features of stations. The practical value of the results obtained is that they allow to predict the work of the station in the conditions of accidental flow of port terminals requests for servicing and avoid overload. This enables the station management to develop more efficient strategies for managing its work.Item type:Item, Assessment of the Efficiency of Methods for Transporting Perishable Foods in the Conditions of Kazakhstan(The Silesian University of Technology, Gliwice, Poland, 2024) Taran, Igor; Alik, Assel; Korobiova, Ruslana H.; Grevtsov, Serhii; Izteleuova, MaralENG: The purpose of the paper is to assess the competitiveness of road and rail transport for the transportation of perishable foods in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The study analyzed food consumption and production, as well as the transport network of the Republic of Kazakhstan. An assessment was made of the costs of transporting perishable foods by road, as well as by rail in railway cars and container trains. The modes of transportation were established, and it was found that the transportation of fresh food products in container trains is competitive with road transportation. The scientific novelty of the work is that it improves the method for assessing the competitiveness of road and rail transport for the transportation of fresh food products. The proposed method differs from existing ones in that it takes into account the loss of consumer value of food products over time while also considering the presence of competition by sources when choosing a type of transport. The practical value of the work is that it establishes the types of food products and directions of their transportation, the performance of which is advisable to carry out by container trains in the Republic of Kazakhstan.Item type:Item, Assessment of the Urban Freight Regulations Impact on the Transportation Cost(4S go, s.r.o., Slovak Republic, EU, 2022) Galkin, Andrii; Nazarov, Oleksii A.; Shapoval, Ganna; Kolosok, Valeriia; Khodova, Yana; Kuznetsov, AnatoliiENG: The paper will investigate the impact of the vehicle carrying capacity to which the local tax is applied on forming the cost of delivery. The cost of 1 ton of freight under different tax scenarios is estimated in the paper: without tax 0, with fixed tax – 10% and with progressive tax from 0 to 75%. The greatest effect on reducing the vehicle's load capacity during urban deliveries showed a progressive tax. The developed regression model allows determining the cost of transportation of 1 ton of goods depending on the technological parameters of transport operations, the costs of the transport (logistics) operators to perform these operations, and local tax regulations for transport. The application of the model makes it possible to regulate the use of vehicles of a given capacity by the local administration. In contrast to the strict prohibition on the establishment of traffic signs, the use of a progressive tax by the local administration makes it possible to regulate traffic structure by economic methods. Exploring of influence local tax regulations on transportation will lead to the sustainability of the cities in order to provide GREEN technologies.Item type:Item, Asymmetric Power Supply Circuit Design for Electric Rolling Stock on the Electrified DC Rail(IEEE, 2020) Sychenko, Viktor G.; Danylov, Oleksiy; Bekh, Petro V.; Kosariev, Yevhen; Liashuk, Vitalij; Drubetskaya, TanyaENG: Modern requirements for the traction power supply system of direct current in providing the high-speed movement are reduced to the need of ensuring a normalized voltage level of 2900 V on current collectors of electric locomotives. At the same time, the power supply system has to be stable on changes in power consumption and have the necessary specific energy intensity. The purpose of the work is to explain the transition to a new circuit design of the traction network using additional generators of electric energy. The proposed asymmetrical power supply system of the electric rolling stock allows to provide the required voltage level on the electric locomotive current collectors, to reduce the range of its changes and to reduce the power losses by 14.3% compared to the symmetrical centralized power supply circuit design with passive boosting of the traction network.Item type:Item, Building Models to Optimize Vehicle Downtime in Multimodal Transportation(PC TECHNOLOGY CENTER, 2023) Razghonov, Serhii; Lesnikova, Iryna; Kuznetsov, Vitalii M.; Kuzmenko, Albina; Khalipova, Nataliіa; Chernikov, Danylo; Zvonarova, Olha V.; Prokhorchenko, Halyna; Horulia, Mykola; Bekh, Petro V.ENG: Sustainable development has become the main focus of transport policy and planning around the world. One of the practical goals when performing multimodal transportation is the optimization of logistics costs. That is, the object of research is the process of multimodal transportation. Empirical research shows that the problem of optimization of transportation costs can be solved by different methods. But the result will be similar. In the given approach, only one component of the transportation process is subject to optimization, which is the overload time. The solutions are based on the method of mass service theory and the method based on fuzzy logic. With the help of these methods, based on practical data, time parameters were calculated that characterize overloading from railway transport to road transport. The application of the method of a weakly formalized process in relation to transport logistics was considered, taking into account not only quantitative estimates but also qualitative, vaguely defined criteria that do not lend themselves to formalization, and the relationships between them. The model was developed for further research of this process, prediction of its behavior, optimization of functioning. It is based on the technology of fuzzy sets. The results obtained using the agent model based on the mass service network and the model based on fuzzy logic differ within the permissible specified limits of no more than 5–7 %. The application of fuzzy logic in the logistics of multimodal transportation is relevant and gives the best results compared to traditional methods of the theory of mass service systems. The article includes comparisons that reflect the advantages of the proposed approach. The obtained results are of a practical nature and can be used to make a decision on choosing a route and/or when transferring from one mode of transport to another.Item type:Item, Calculation of «Vulnerability» Zone in Case of Terrorist Attack with Chemical Agents(Дніпропетровський національний університет залізничного транспорту ім. акад. В. Лазаряна, Дніпро, 2018) Biliaiev, Mykola M.; Berlov, Oleksandr V.; Kalashnikov, Ivan V.; Kozachyna, Vitalii A.EN: Purpose. The work involves the development of a numerical model for calculating the «vulnerability» zone of a possible terrorist attack objective with the use of a chemical agent in a builtup environment. The «vulnerability» zone is a territory near the attack objective, where the emission of a chemical agent during the attack will lead to undesirable consequences. The emission of a chemical agent outside the «vulnerability» zone will not create a dangerous concentration near the attack objective. Methodology. To solve this problem, we use the equation for the velocity potential, on the basis of which we determine the wind stream velocity field, and the equation adjoint to the equation of mass transfer in the atmospheric air of the chemical agent emitted in the event of a terrorist attack. During simulation, we take into account the uneven wind stream velocity field, atmospheric diffusion and the rate of emission of a chemically hazardous substance. For the numerical integration of the velocity potential equation, we use the method of A. A. Samarsky. For numerical solution of the adjoint equation, we introduce new variables and use an implicit difference splitting scheme. The peculiarity of the developed numerical model is the possibility of operative estimation of the «vulnerability» zone near a possible attack objective. Findings. The developed numerical model and computer program can be used for scientifically grounded assessment of the «vulnerability» zone near significant facilities in the event of possible attacks with the use of chemical (biological) agents. The constructed numerical model can be implemented on computers of small and medium power, which allows it to be widely used to solve the problems of this class when developing the emergency response plan. The results of the computational experiment are presented, which allow us to evaluate the possibilities of the proposed numerical model. Originality. An effective numerical model is proposed for calculating the «vulnerability» zone near the facility, which may be the target of a terrorist attack with the use of a chemical agent. The model is based on the numerical integration of the velocity potential equation and the equation adjoint to the equation of mass transfer of a chemically dangerous substance in the atmosphere. Practical value. The developed model can be used to organize protective actions near the target facility of a possible chemical attack by terrorists.Item type:Item, Capital Investments in the Context of Sustainable Development of Railways(Dnipro National University of Railway Transport named after Academician V. Lazaryan, 2019) Kharchenko, Olesia I.; Okorokov, Andrii; Vernigora, Roman V.; Tsuprov, Pavlo; Papakhov, Oleksandr Yu.; Logvinova, Nataliia A.ENG: Abstract. Ukraine, due to its geographical position and developed transport infrastructure, has significant potential as a transit country, primarily in the supply chain of trade between Asia and Europe. According to the estimates of the British Institute for Transport Rendell Ukraine, the transit coefficient of Ukraine is 3,75 (with a maximum of 5); This is the best indicator among the countries of Europe (for comparison, in Poland, which occupies the second place, this indicator is 2,92). Nowadays, Ukraine uses its transit potential extremely insufficiently and inefficiently; over the past 10 years, the volume of transit traffic through the territory of Ukraine has declined by more than 2,5 times, primarily due to the fall in transit traffic by rail. One of the reasons for this situation is, of course, the general political and economic situation in the country. However, there are a number of other negative factors that prevent Ukraine from fully and effectively using its transit potential. These problems lie both in the purely technical plane (deterioration of transport infrastructure and rolling stock, lack of capacity of the main transport routes, underdevelopment of logistics terminals in the country and at land borders, difference in width with the European railway system) and the legislato-thick (high level of port dues, bureaucratization and regulation of customs procedures, lack of flexible tariff policy for carriers, etc.).Item type:Item, Comparative Tests of Contact Elements at Current Collectors in Order to Comprehensively Assess their Operational Performance(PC "Technology Center", Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport, Kharkov, Ukraine, 2018) Babyak, Mykola O.; Horobets, Volodymyr L.; Sychenko, Viktor G.; Gorobets, YevhenEN: We have studied the interaction between contact elements in the pantographs of electric transport under operation at the sections of railroads powered by direct and alternating current. In contrast to known techniques for bench tests, we investigated the mechanism of current collection and wear resistance at the new testing installation over a minimally narrow region of the sliding contact, simulating the phenomenon of a pantograph “cut”. This installation can be used both industrially when manufacturing new contact elements and under laboratory setting when studying wear resistance. The experimental research confirmed that the wear intensity of contact elements at pantographs depends on current load over a contact area, the magnitude of contact pressure, the area of a contact surface, and motion speed. We have practically proven a possibility to maintain a reliable contact connection in the sliding contact under extreme operating conditions when using a reliable contact material for the current collector pads. It has been proposed to use the powder composition BrIG based on bronze, iron, and graphite, for making contact elements for pantographs that could provide for reliable contact when interacting with the contact wire. Application of new and high-quality contact materials affects the tribology and stability of interaction between plates and the contact wire. Owing to our study, a possibility has been established to manufacture a reliable contact element BrIG, which would prolong the time of interaction in the contact pair “pantograph at electric transport ‒ contact network”. The practical significance of this research relates to the proven efficiency of utilizing the new contact material BrIG for electric railroad transport network, in trolley buses and trams. Thus, one can argue about the possibility to prolong the time of operation for the contact pair “pad in a pantograph at electric transport ‒ contact network” by applying the new contact material BrIG.Item type:Item, Complex Simulation Model of Train Breaking-Up Process at the Humps(Дніпропетровський національний університет залізничного транспорту імені академіка В. Лазаряна, Дніпропетровськ, 2015) Demchenko, Evhen B.ENG: Purpose. One of the priorities of station sorting complex functioning improvement is the breaking-up process energy consumptions reduction, namely: fuel consumption for train pushing and electric energy consumption for cut braking. In this regard, an effective solution of the problem of energy consumption reduction at breaking-up subsystem requires a comprehensive handling of train pushing and cut rolling down processes. At the same time, the analysis showed that the current task of pushing process improvement and cut rolling down effectiveness increase are solved separately. To solve this problem it is necessary to develop the complex simulation model of train breakingup process at humps. Methodology. Pushing process simulation was done based on adapted under the shunting conditions traction calculations. In addition, the features of shunting locomotives work at the humps were taken into account. In order to realize the current pushing mode the special algorithm of hump locomotive controlling, which along with the safety shunting operation requirements takes into account behavioral factors associated with engineer control actions was applied. This algorithm provides train smooth acceleration and further movement with speed, which is close to the set speed. Hump locomotive fuel consumptions were determined based on the amount of mechanical work performed by locomotive traction. Findings. The simulation model of train pushing process was developed and combined with existing cut rolling down model. Cut initial velocity is determined during simulation process. The obtained initial velocity is used for further cut rolling process modeling. In addition, the modeling resulted in sufficiently accurate determination of the fuel rates consumed for train breaking-up. Originality. The simulation model of train breaking-up process at the humps, which in contrast to the existing models allows reproducing complexly all the elements of this process in detail and evaluate accurately its quality, was improved by the author. Practical value. The developed model can help to determine a rational processing mode of sorting complex. For this purpose, it is appropriate to include the model into the decision support system of dispatching station staff.Item type:Item, The Concept of a Hybrid Traction Power Supply System(Les Ulis: EDP Sciences-Web of Conferences, France, 2019) Sychenko, Viktor G.; Kuznetsov, Valeriy; Kosariev, Yevhen; Bekh, Petro V.; Sayenko, Yuriy; Styslo, Bohdan O.; Pavlichenko, Mihail; Vasilev, Ihor; Pulin, Mykola M.ENG: Abstract. The growing shortage of energy resources to provide heavy traffic and high-speed traffic necessitates the development of a new power supply scheme for a traction network using sources of distributed generation of electric energy. Application of asymmetric distributed traction power system with the use of distributed generation allows to increase electric energy efficiency of the feed system of rolling stock, reduce its material capacity and increase the reliability of the functioning of the railway system as a whole. The proposed structure of the hybrid electric traction system involves the creation of a new paradigm aimed at ensuring high demands on the voltage and specific power in the traction network, which will allow to improve the quality and safety of the transportation process when increasing the energy performance indicators. This paradigm will allow to form a new philosophy of building traction power systems. The key elements of this philosophy are decentralization of generation and consumption of electric energy, the use of intelligent electric equipment, distributed power supply management in a single information space of the energy process during transportation. The peculiarity of the proposed work is the optimal combination of technological processes of transmission, consumption of electric energy and transportation, taking into account the specific conditions of functioning of the electrified section: points of connection of power sources and their type, profile of the track, schedule of trains, types of rolling stock and equipment. Conceptually, the hybrid traction power system is an electric hub, in which the inputs are generating points, and the output is the power supply system of the rolling stock. The internal structure of the electric power objects of the hub is determined by the type of transformation and accumulation of electric energy and ways of managing these objects in real time.Item type:Item, Construction of a Simulation Model of Goods Delivery in International Road Transportation Taking into Account the Functioning Efficiency of Logistics Supply Chain(PC TECHNOLOGY CENTER, 2023) Lebid, Ievgenii; Luzhanska, Nataliia; Lebid, Iryna; Mazurenko, Alexander; Halona, Inesa; Horban, Anatolii; Mykhailenko, Iryna; Medvediev, Ievgen; Sotnikova, TetianaENG: The object of this study is the process of goods delivery in international road transport using various types of logistics chains. The problem being solved is due to the need to develop recommendations for exporters of goods to reformat or design new supply chains during wartime. The expediency of organizing foreign trade operations by the cargo owners' own forces or with the involvement of enterprises providing logistics consulting services is considered. A simulation model of goods delivery in international road traffic was built and implemented in the GPSS World simulation automation package. The model involves the optimization of organizational and technological processes related to the activity of both a separate link and the entire supply chain. The study takes into account the components of the time characteristics of the performance of preparatory work when establishing cooperation with institutions and organizations, as well as the direct service of the exporter. The application of the developed model in practical activities will provide an opportunity for exporters to obtain information about the duration and reliability of the stages of a foreign trade operation and the feasibility of involving consulting enterprises in cooperation. At the same time, the simulation results reflect the performance indicators of the proposed supply chains when delivering goods by road transport along various routes. The proposed simulation model will make it possible to reduce the time spent searching for links in the formation of a supply chain by 8–12 %, and the duration of a foreign trade operation by 10–14 %. Thus, the reliability of cooperation with intermediary organizations will increase by 8–11 %.Item type:Item, Construction of a Simulation Model of the Work of a Transport and Forwarding Enterprise in Organizing Multimodal Cargo Transportation(TECHNOLOGY CENTER PC, Kharkiv, 2024) Lebid, Ievgenii; Luzhanska, Nataliia; Lebid, Iryna; Mazurenko, Alexander; Roi, Maksym; Mykhailenko, Iryna; Yelnikova, Lidiia O.; Tihov, OleksiiENG: The object of this study is the process of rendering transport and forwarding services when organizing multimodal cargo transportation in international traffic. The task to tackle was predetermined by the need to devise recommendations for choosing the optimal cargo transportation route, taking into account the individual requirements of the customer and performance indicators of the forwarders at the transport and forwarding company. A simulation model of the work of a transport and forwarding company in the organization of multimodal transportation of goods was built and implemented in the GPSS World simulation automation software. The model involves the optimization of the duration of service provision and makes it possible to determine the required number of transportation department specialists to enable effective cooperation with customers. When constructing the model, the duration of business processes in the organization of multimodal transportation was taken into account. In addition, the model accounts for the probability of errors and service delays, as well as the average delay time when errors occur, which will make it possible to take into account the additional work time of the forwarder to eliminate them. The application of the built model in practice will allow specialists at transport and forwarding companies to organize multimodal transportation according to several alternative routes that meet the individual needs of the customer. It will also make it possible to determine the optimal number of forwarders needed to work at the multimodal transportation department. In this case, the duration of rendering transport and forwarding services will be reduced by 12–16 %, the waiting time in queues for service will decrease by 9–13 %, and the efficiency of the work of specialists at the multimodal transportation department will increase by 9–14 %.Item type:Item, Construction of a Simulation Model of the Work of a Warehouse Enterprise as a Link in the Logistics Chain(TECHNOLOGY CENTER PC, Kharkiv, 2025) Lebid, Ievgenii; Luzhanska, Nataliia; Lebid, Iryna; Mazurenko, Alexander; Mykhailenko, Iryna; Sharai, SvitlanaENG: This study investigates the process of organizing the work of a warehouse enterprise when servicing customers. The task set is to devise recommendations for planning the staffing of a warehouse enterprise, taking into account the duration of rendering services to customers. A simulation model of the work of a warehouse enterprise when servicing customers has been built and implemented in the GPSS World simulation modeling automation package. The model involves determining the duration of warehouse service and determining the required number of personnel to enable the work of the business entity by areas of activity. When constructing the model, the duration of the types of work performed at individual stages of service performed by the warehouse enterprise personnel when processing foreign trade cargo was taken into account. In addition, the model takes into account the probability of errors and delays in rendering warehouse services at each stage of the business entity’s work, as well as the average delay time in the presence of errors. This can make it possible to determine the duration of additional employment of the enterprise personnel associated with the elimination of errors made in all types of work. Applying the devised model in practice will allow owners of warehouse enterprises to organize and plan activities of the business entity when servicing customers. This will also make it possible to determine the duration of rendering warehouse services when performing foreign trade operations, taking into account the indicators of the efficiency of specialists. At the same time, the probability of refusal to provide warehouse services to customers could decrease by 17% while the throughput capacity of the enterprise would increase by 22%.Item type:Item, Controlling the Speed of Rolling Cuts in Conditions of Reduction of Brake Power of Car Retarders(Дніпропетровський національний університет залізничного транспорту імені академіка В. Лазаряна, Дніпропетровськ, 2016) Kozachenko, Dmytro M.; Bobrovskyi, Volodymyr I.; Grevtsov, Serhii V.; Berezovyi, Mykola I.ENG: Purpose. The study aims to develop the requirements for organization of the marshalling process in the conditions when the power of retarder positions is less than the nominal one. Methodology. The research is carried out using the train traffic safety theory and mathematical modelling of hump processes. Findings. The current technical standard documents regulating the operational performance of humps do not contain direct instructions on how to proceed in the event of brake power loss by car retarders, thus creating threats to the traffic safety. This problem is quite acute for the Ukrainian railways in connection with a chronic shortage of funds for the repair and renewal of technical equipment, including the humps. At the same time, a significant drop in the volume of work leads to the fact that the hump required processing capacity can be provided in case of partial failure of retarders as well. Herewith the most important task is to ensure the breaking-up safety in conditions of parametric failures of retarders. The analysis of dangerous situations, the occurrence of which is possible at humps, as well as the modelling of cut rolling, allowed establishing the connection between the value of retarder tire pressing force on the car wheels and the breaking-up modes, providing the safety of marshalling process. The paper sets the application areas of such measures as the breaking-up speed reduction, breaking-up termination, the use of additional braking by block hangers. Originality. The originality of the work lies in the fact that it first obtained the complex of dependencies that determine the performance requirements for the power of hump retarders and allow the staff to enter the appropriate limits for breaking-up modes to ensure the marshalling process safety. Practical value. The results of the research can be used to supplement the «Instruction on the maintenance of facilities of mechanized and automated humps» in order to determine the limits of breaking-up modes when detecting the reduction of retarder power below the nominal one.Item type:Item, Creation of Export-Oriented Network of Grain Elevators in Ukraine(Дніпропетровський національний університет залізничного транспорту імені академіка В. Лазаряна, Дніпро, 2017) Kozachenko, Dmytro M.; Vernigora, Roman V.; Rustamov, Rustam S.ENG: Purpose. The scientific paper highlights improving the efficiency of export rail transportation of grain cargoes in Ukraine by introducing shipper routing and concentration of loading at the terminal grain elevators. Methodology. According to the experience of the USA and Canada, one of the most effective ways to reduce costs in the grain to-port supply chain is a shipper routing of the rail traffic. Shipper routing for transportation of grain cargoes involves the concentration of their loading on the multiple junctions. The junctions are proposed to be selected with the use of cluster analysis methods. For the formation of the grain loading concentration areas the authors used methods of set theory and multi-criteria optimization. Findings. Based on agglomerative cluster analysis algorithm, the junctions on a network of Ukrainian railways are selected and the areas of possible concentration of grain loading are formed. DSU-algorithm allowed distinguishing the overlapping and non-overlapping areas of concentration. The problem of selecting non-overlapping areas of the grain loading concentration is formalized as the problem of multiobjective integer programming with boolean variables. The solution of this problem by a modified simplex algorithm allows selecting on the railway network of Ukraine 24 districts of possible grain loading concentration, which cover 70 stations and at minimal additional cost provide routing of about 7.5 million tons of grain per year. Originality. The originality of the work lies in the fact that the authors developed the mathematical procedure for selection of junctions and concentration areas of grain loading at the Ukrainian railway network, taking into account the economic efficiency of the process. Practical value. Application of the developed method of grain loading concentration for the formation of unit trains will significantly reduce the logistics costs in the supply chain of grain to Ukrainian ports for export and, consequently, increase its competitiveness in foreign markets.Item type:Item, Crisis and Risk Engineering for Transport Services(Talcom, Kyiv, 2022) Chernova, Nataliia S.; Hajiyev, Nofal; Halan, Olha; Matsiuk, Viacheslav; Bulgakova, Iuliia; Khurshudov, Ilgar; Najimov, Arif; Valiyeva, Sapargul; Hudaygulyyev, Nuraly; Demchenko, Yevhen B.; Dorosh, Andrii S.; Khara, Maryna; Nikolaienko, Iryna; Lyamzin, Andrii; Samsonkin, Valerii; Meredova, Maral; Halmamedov, Habib; Yurchenko, Oksana; Myradov, Yolly; Garajayev, Atageldi; Dashdamirov, Fuad; Zohrabov, Nijat; Sharifov, Allahverdi; Chernova, Nataliia S.; Lewczuk, KonradENG: Materials of scientific and practical research within the framework of the implementation of the project of the program of the European Union Erasmus+ «Crisis and Risks Engineering for Transport Services» (CRENG) are presented in the monograph. Лазаряна, Діпропетровськ, 2015) Dorosh, Andrii S.ENG: Purpose. The application of automation systems of breaking up process on the gravity hump is the efficiency improvement of their operation, absolute provision of trains breaking up safety demands, as well as improvement of hump staff working conditions. One of the main tasks of the indicated systems is the assurance of cuts reliable separation at all elements of their rolling route to the classification track. This task is a sophisticated optimization problem and has not received a final decision. Therefore, the task of determining the cuts braking mode is quite relevant. The purpose of this research is to find the optimal braking mode of control cut of design group. Methodology. In order to achieve the purpose is offered to use the direct search methods in the work, namely the Box complex method. This method does not require smoothness of the objective function, takes into account its limitations and does not require calculation of the function derivatives, and uses only its value. Findings. Using the Box method was developed iterative procedure for determining the control cut optimal braking mode of design group. The procedure maximizes the smallest controlled time interval in the group. To evaluate the effectiveness of designed procedure the series of simulation experiments of determining the control cut braking mode of design group was performed. The results confirmed the efficiency of the developed optimization procedure. Originality. The author formalized the task of optimizing control cut braking mode of design group, taking into account the cuts separation of design group at all elements (switches, retarders) during cuts rolling to the classification track. The problem of determining the optimal control cut braking mode of design group was solved. The developed braking mode ensures cuts reliable separation of the group not only at the switches but at the retarders of brake position. Practical value. The developed procedure can be successfully used to determine the optimal braking modes of cuts in automation systems of trains breaking up on the gravity humps.Item type:Item, Determination of the Optimal Cars Exit Speeds from the Retarders on Sorting Humps(KTU, Lithuania, 2023) Kozachenko, Dmytro M.; Grevtsov, Serhii V.; Titova, AnastasiiaENG: Sorting humps are the main technical means providing the breaking- and making-up of freight trains on marshalling yards. Automation of sorting process by implementing microprocessor control systems is the main direction of increasing hump yard capacity, enhancement of safety in trains breaking-up, improvement of working conditions on hump yards. The purpose of theresearch is determination of the optimal cars exit speeds from the retarders on sorting humps. Its solution is significantly complicated because of the uncertainty of cars rolling resistance coefficient, wind velocity and direction, retarder control errors. The research is performed using the methods of the simulation modelling, mathematical statistics and direct optimization methods. The originality of the work is related to the solution of the problem of choosing cars exit speeds from the retarders in a stochastic formulation. The practical value of the work lies in the fact that the proposed method allows improving the quality of sorting process as a whole by improving the software of microprocessor control systems for automatic humping, rather than by increasing their technical facilities, which as a result will reduce the cost of their construction and operation.Item type:Item, Determining Loading Patterns in the Bearing Structure of a Railroad Flatcar with a Floor Made from Sandwich Panels(PC TECHNOLOGY CENTER, 2023) Lovska, Alyona O.; Nerubatskyi, Volodymyr; Okorokov, Andrii M.; Vernyhora, Roman V.; Zhuravel, Iryna L.ENG: The object of research is the processes of emergence, perception, and redistribution of loads in the supporting structure of a flatcar with a floor made of sandwich panels. To reduce the impact of dynamic loads on the supporting structure of a flatcar, as well as the safety of goods transported in it, it is proposed to manufacture floors from sandwich panels. Within the framework of the study, mathematical modeling of the dynamic load on a flatcar when it runs in a loaded state was carried out. It was found that, taking into account the proposed solution, the accelerations acting on the supporting structure of a flatcar are reduced by 8.4 % compared to the typical one. At the same time, accelerations acting on cargo placed on a flatbed car are reduced by 11.7 %. The results of calculating the strength of sandwich panels, when arranged on a flatcar, proved the feasibility of the proposed improvement. The main indicators of dynamics of the improved flatcar structure operated in an empty state were determined. It was established that the flatcar movement is assessed as "good". A feature of the results reported here is that the improved supporting structure of a flatcar contributes not only to reducing its dynamic load but also to improving the safety of transported cargoes. The scope of practical application of the results is the engineering industry, in particular, railroad transport. The condition for the practical application of the research results is the use of energy-absorbing material in the structure of sandwich panels. The study could contribute to devising recommendations regarding the design of modern structures of railroad vehicles and increasing the efficiency of the functioning of the transportation industry.Item type:Item, Determining Patterns of Vertical Load on the Prototype of a Removable Module for Long-Size Cargoes(РС Тесhnology Сеntеr, Kharkiv, Ukraine, 2022) Vatulia, Glib; Lovska, Alyona O.; Pavliuchenkov, Mykhailo; Nerubatskyi, Volodymyr; Okorokov, Andrii; Hordiienko, Denys; Vernigora, Roman V.; Zhuravel, Irina L.ENG: The object of this study is the processes of occurrence, exposure to, and redistribution of loads in the supporting structure of a removable module for the transportation of long cargoes. To adapt platform cars to the transportation of long loads, it is proposed to introduce a removable module with elastic-friction connections in the structure. In order to select the optimal profiles for the removable module, in terms of minimal material consumption, the calculation was carried out in the Lira software package. Based on the calculation results, a spatial model of the concept of the removable module was built. To determine the dynamic loads that act on the platform car loaded with a removable module, a mathematical simulation was carried out. It was established that the use of elastic-friction links in the structure of the removable module helps reduce its dynamic load, as well as the platform car, by 4.6%. The resulting acceleration was taken into account when calculating the strength of the removable module. The calculation results showed that the strength of the removable module under operational loads is ensured. A feature of the reported results is that the proposed design of a removable module makes it possible not only to adapt the plat-form car to the transportation of long loads but also to reduce its load in operation. The scope of practical application of the results includes the engineering industry, in particular, railroad transport. Worth noting is that the conditions for the practical use of the results imply the introduction of elastic-friction links in the structure of the removable module. The reported research will contribute to compiling recommendations for the design of modern vehicle structures, in particular removable type, as well as for improving the efficiency of rail transportation.Item type:Item, Determining the Load on the Bearing Structure of a Flat Wagon for Long Cargo in Rail-Ferry Transportation(TECHNOLOGY CENTER PC, Kharkiv, 2025) Lovska, Alyona O.; Okorokov, Andrii M.; Muradian, Arsen O.; Romakh, Valentyna L.; Bolvanovska, Tetiana V.ENG: This study's object is the processes of perception and redistribution of loads in the supporting structure of a flat wagon for long-length cargo during rail-ferry transportation. The task addressed is to adapt a universal flat wagon for transporting long-length cargo. In this case, it is proposed to improve the structure of a flat wagon by equipping it with frame-type side walls reinforced with sandwich panels. The proposed technical advancement was substantiated by mathematical modeling of the dynamic loading of the flat wagon during transportation by rail ferry. The calculation results established that the proposed improvement contributes to a reduction in the dynamic loading of a flat wagon's supporting structure by 15% compared to the typical structure. The findings were confirmed by computer simulation. The results of calculating the strength of a flat wagon's supporting structure established that its strength is ensured. A special feature of the technical advancement is that it does not require intervening in the basic concept of a flat wagon's supporting structure since the side walls are removable. The scope of practical application of the research results is railroad transport. The practical use of the findings is subject to the absence of a natural degree of freedom of the side wall frame. The results of this study will contribute to improving the efficiency of railroad transport operation, including international traffic. The results could also prove useful for designing modern car structures with improved technical and operational characteristics.Item type:Item, Determining the Rational Motion Intensity of Train Traffic Flows on the Railway Corridors with Account for Balance of Expenses on Traction Resources and Cargo Owners(Sciendo, 2019) Butko, Tetiana V.; Muzykin, Mykhailo I.; Prokhorchenko, Andrii V.; Nesterenko, Halyna I.; Prokhorchenko, HalynaENG: The article proposes a method for determining the rational motion intensity of specific train traffic flows on railway transport corridors with account for balance of expenses on traction resources and cargo owners. A mathematical model based on stochastic optimization is developed, which allows to optimize, in the conditions of risks, the interval between trailing trains on the railway lines taking into account the limited resources of the traction rolling stock, the capacity of the stations and freight fronts at the cargo destination point. Solving this mathematical model allows to find a balance between the expenses for movement of train traffic flows from different railway lines to their terminal reference station and the expenses of a consignee, subject to the limitations of the technological logistics chain in cargo transportation. For the solution of this mathematical model, a Real-coded Genetic Algorithm (RGA) was used.Item type:Item, Determining the Vertical Load on a Container with a Floor Made of Sandwich Panels Transported by a Flat Wagon(TECHNOLOGY CENTER PC, Kharkiv, 2024) Lovska, Alyona O.; Stanovska, Iraida; Kyryllova, Valeriia; Okorokov, Andrii M.; Vernihora, Roman V.ENG: The object of this study is the processes of perception and redistribution of vertical loads in the structure of a container with a floor made of sandwich panels under operational modes. To ensure the strength of the container, as well as the safety of the cargo transported in it, it is proposed to design a floor based on sandwich panels. It is assumed that each of these panels is made of two metal sheets in a layer between which an energy-absorbing material is placed. Given the presence of energy-absorbing material in the structure of the sandwich panel, the vertical dynamic loads acting on the cargo container during its transportation will be reduced. To substantiate the proposed solution, mathematical modeling of the vertical load on the container during its transportation by a flat wagon was carried out. It is found that the accelerations acting on the container of the improved design are 5.7 % lower than those acting on the container of standard design. The calculation of the strength of the container was carried out under operational schemes of its loads. It has been established that the strength of the container is ensured. A special feature of the results is that the reduction of the load on the container is achieved not by strengthening its structure but by introducing flexible connections into it. The field of practical application of the results is railroad transport. The conditions for the practical use of the findings are the use of energy-absorbing material in the structure of sandwich panels that form the floor of the container. The results of the research will contribute to improving the strength of containers under operating conditions, the safety of the cargo transported in them, as well as increasing the efficiency of the functioning of container transportation.Item type:Item, Development of a Simulation Model of a Cargo Customs Complex Operation as a Link of a Logistic Supply Chain(РС Тесhnology Сеntеr, Kharkiv, Ukraine, 2021) Mazurenko, Alexander; Kudriashov, Andrii V.; Lebid, Iryna H.; Luzhanska, Nataliia O.; Кravchenya, Irina N.; Pitsyk, MaksymENG: The main link in the logistics supply chain is the cargo customs complex. It provides customs and logistics services to cargo owners during the export and import of goods, complex services, placement of goods in a customs warehouse and a temporary storage warehouse. To substantiate the choice of the optimal logistics supply chain and optimize the work of the cargo customs complex, it is proposed to use simulation modeling. The model of operation of the logistics chain and the cargo customs complex is presented in a general form. The proposed model is implemented in the GPSS World simulation automation package. Testing the simulation model involved checking its adequacy. Checking the adequacy of the simulation model, which showed the maximum value of the t-statistic of 1.424 with a critical value of 1.85, proved its compliance with the work of a real object. After completing the adequacy check, the simulation error was estimated, which was 3 % with an allowable 5 %, due to the presence of pseudo-random number generators in the simulation model. Thus, the simulation error is insignificant for this study. For the cargo customs complex, an example of the simulation results is given. Based on the results of simulation modeling, it is possible to determine: the optimal type of the logistics supply chain and the optimal structure of the cargo customs complex. A wide range of tasks that the proposed simulation model can solve is presented. Thus, the developed simulation model will make it possible to analyze and improve the modes of operation of the cargo customs complex. In addition, it will allow to get an informed decision regarding the use of a certain type of logistics supply chain.Item type:Item, Development of a Simulation Model of Grain Delivery in Global Supply Chains(National University of Life and Environmental Scienсes of Ukraine, Kyiv, 2024) Khomenko, Yurii; Matsiuk, Viacheslav; Okorokov, Andrii M.; Gorobchenko, OleksandrENG: The main export shipments of grain to Ukraine are carried out through commercial seaports of the Black Sea, while the complex and multiphase transportation process creates delays and leads to additional costs at the points of connection of various types of transport. The purpose of the study was the process of transporting grain cargo for export through commercial seaports. Ukraine is a developed agricultural country that produces a significant share of the world’s grain volume, most of which is exported. The optimisation simulation model of multimodal grain cargo transportation developed in the study, in contrast to the existing ones, is a multiphase process with many initial parameters, subsystems, and technological elements that adequately reflect all components of the technological process of organising transportation by road, rail, and sea, and helps to optimise these processes. The model consists of several transport and technological subsystems, each of which corresponds to the process of grain transportation by road, rail, or water. The minimum total duration of cargo transportation from the place of origin to the moment of sending grain cargo for export by sea was chosen as the optimal criterion. To establish the minimum required number of replications and the minimum required model time, a series of experiments were performed, where the key and systematic modelling measurement parameter is the total time of grain delivery by land, from the point of origin to the sea trade terminal. As a result of modelling, the optimal number of rolling stock of different types of transport and the transportation time for each phase of the process were determined. Logistics operators of the agro-industrial sector can apply the model to improve grain delivery routes and schemes, evaluate and improve technological parameters, and minimise transportation time and costs.Item type:Item, Development of a Simulation Model of the Activities of a Transport and Forwarding Enterprise in the Organization of International Road Cargo Transportation(РС Тесhnology Сеntеr, Kharkiv, Ukraine, 2023) Lebid, Ievgenii; Luzhanska, Nataliia; Lebid, Iryna; Mazurenko, Alexander; Roi, Maksym; Medvediev, Ievgen; Sotnikova, Tetiana; Hrevtsov, SerhiiENG: The object of this study is the process of planning the work of a transport and forwarding company when serving different categories of customers who need organizational support for the delivery of goods by road transport in international traffic. The solved problem is due to the need to devise recommendations for organizing the work of forwarders when interacting with customers of transport and forwarding services that export or import different categories of cargo. A simulation model of the transport and forwarding company’s work in customer service was developed and implemented in the GPSS World simulation automation package. The model provides for the optimization of organizational and management processes in cooperation with customers of transport and forwarding services. When developing the model, the duration of the types of work in which freight forwarders are involved in the export and import of goods by road transport was taken into account. The model also predicts the probability of errors in the forwarder’s work and the duration of their elimination. The application of the developed model in practice will enable the owners of transport and forwarding companies to plan the full-time number of forwarders and the duration of service provision under different conditions of interaction with customers. The simulation results reflect the performance indicators of the enterprise in serving different categories of customers. This will make it possible to optimize the work of the enterprise by planning personnel support. At the same time, the duration of transport and forwarding services will be reduced by 10–15 %, the capacity of the enterprise will increase by 6–11 %, and the reliability of service provision will increase by 8–14 %.Item type:Item, Development of a Simulation Model of Transport Enterprise Operation when Carrying Various Types of Cargo along International Routes(TECHNOLOGY CENTER PC, Kharkiv, 2025) Lebid, Ievgenii; Luzhanska, Nataliia; Lebid, Iryna; Mazurenko, Alexander; Halona, Inesa; Tihov, OleksiiENG: This study’s object is the process that organizes and plans the work of a transport enterprise when transporting general, dangerous, and oversized cargo along international roads. The task addressed is the need to compile recommendations for determining the required number of personnel and the duration of rendering transport services depending on the type of cargo received for service. A simulation model of the work of a transport enterprise when organizing international road transportation has been built and implemented in the GPSS World simulation modeling automation package. The model involves determining the duration of transport service and planning the personnel support for a transport enterprise according to the functional division of labor. When building the model, the duration of the types of work provided by specialists of the transport enterprise when transporting general, dangerous, and oversized cargo was taken into account. In addition, the model takes into account the probability of errors and delays at each stage of service. The average duration of the delay in the event of errors is also determined, which could make it possible to set additional time for engaging a separate specialist to eliminate them. The application of the devised model in practice would allow owners of transport enterprises to organize business processes depending on the available type of rolling stock. It could also make it possible to determine the optimal number of specialists of various profiles required for organizing transport services for the customer. At the same time, the duration of transport services for the delivery of various types of cargo will be reduced by 8–14% while the number of specialists of the transport enterprise – by 10–15%; in turn, the throughput will increase by 7–16%.Item type:Item, Development of Analytical Methods for Calculating Time Standards for Shunting Operations(Дніпровський національний університет залізничного транспорту імені академіка В. The article is aimed to conduct a historical analysis of the development of analytical methods for stand-ardizing the duration of shunting operations, as well as assessing their compliance with the existing operating conditions of railway transport. Methodology. The research in this article was carried out on the basis of an analysis of literary sources and methods of the theory of the organization of the operational work of railways. Findings. The standardization of the duration of shunting operations is one of the most important tasks of the theory of operational work of railways. The existing method of standardizing the duration of shunting operations developed in the first half of the 20th century and is used to this day. The performed analysis shows that the scientific principles underlying it generally correspond to the modern conditions of the railway transport. Additional research in this area can be associated with assessing the influence of the initial location of cars on the tracks on the average duration of shunting operations, taking into account the influence of length restrictions of the cars groups being moved, as well as monitoring the implementation of established norms by statistical methods. The article also shows that the values of modern time standards for shunting operations, in many cases, are set for technical means and technologies that were used in railway transport in the 50–70s of the 20th century and do not correspond to the operating conditions of real stations and sidings of industrial enterprises. Therefore, they require revision. Originality. In this paper, based on historical analysis, the process of development of methods for setting the time for shunting operations is described and the factors influencing the current value of norms are established. Practical value. The research results make it possible to identify the reasons for the discrepancy between the existing time standards for performing shunting operations and the real operating conditions of stations and sidings of industrial enterprises, as well as to establish the main elements of the methodology for standardizing the duration of shunting operations that require revision.Item type:Item, The Development of Students' Attention at Football Training(LLC SPC «InterConf», 2024) Pichurin, Valerii V.; Umerenko, Viktor; Dutko, TarasENG: The purpose of the study was to examine the specific features of the development of selectivity, concentration and attention steadiness of students in physical education classes. Lazaryan; Les Ulis: EDP Sciences-Web of conferences, 2019) Kozachenko, Dmytro M.; Gera, Bogdan V.; Sannytskyy, Nazar М.; Hermaniuk, Yuliia M.; Shargun, TetyanaENG: Abstract. Ukraine has undertaken the implementation of European Union Directives, which provide nondiscriminatory admission to the railway infrastructure of independent carriers. A significant number of factors considerably affect working conditions of the carriers which are independent of Ukrzaliznytsia. One of the goals while performing transportation by independent carriers is the organization of private locomotives operation and their service by engine crews. The purpose of the article is to assess technical and economic indices of private locomotives use for goods transportation. The schemes of infrastructure objects arrangement for locomotives operation and engine crews work are presented. Performed calculations show the potential possibility of independent railway carriers to fulfil transportation to seaports with the use of its private locomotive infrastructure exclusively. The estimation of economically expedient volumes of cargo transportation by private locomotives in comparison with existing pricing of Ukrzaliznytsia is carried out. The nonlinear dependence of transportation volume depending on the distance is determined, at which the total cost of cargo transportation by Ukrzaliznytsia locomotives is equal to the cost of cargo transportation by private locomotives. The results of the study allow concerned companies to evaluate the investment efficiency into the development of locomotive fleet for rail transportation.
