Audio Visual Collection in Libraries as a Form of Innovation in the Digital Age

ENG: Libraries play an important role in facilitating knowledge sharing and promoting lifelong learning. However, the process of knowledge sharing in a library environment is not without its challenges. This theme aims to explain the various factors that influence knowledge sharing, including organisational constraints, information technology limitations, and user behaviour. Changes in user behaviour in searching for information also continue to change along with the development of the world of technology, in the library world, of course, many collections of printed information sources are interesting but are starting to be less used by users as digital collections develop. Therefore, the innovation of audio-visual collections is one of the solutions for today's users who are more interested in collections that are audio-visual. By exploring these barriers, researchers and practitioners can gain a comprehensive understanding of the obstacles librarians and library users face in their efforts to share and access knowledge. Ultimately, the paper aims to sensitise libraries to adapt to the evolving information landscape and further their mission of linking. Computer Technology for Satellite Imagery Processing in Nature Management Problem Solving Using Lineament Analysis

ENG: This study focuses on analyzing the techniques used to highlight lineaments in images. Various mask algorithms, including the widely used optimal Kenny detector, were employed to identify brightness boundaries. Additionally, several quality criteria were developed to assess the accuracy of boundary selection. Based on the results of the analysis, conclusions were drawn regarding the effectiveness of different pre-processing methods for space images, along with recommendations to streamline data processing and analysis and enhance the reliability of results. Our analysis of image processing methods for selecting brightness boundaries revealed that the most effective approach involves applying filters to the source images to increase the number of selected boundaries while maintaining their integrity and length.
The Contribution of Special Libraries in Providing Information Services Based on Social Inclusion: a Case Study Center for Library and Agricultural Technology Dissemination (PUSTAKA) Ministry of Agriculture, Indonesia

ENG: The majority of special libraries fulfill the information needs of their work environment to support the development and improvement of the duties and functions of the institution and its human resources. However, several service innovations have been carried out by creating social inclusion-based service programs for the general public. One such special library is the Center for Library and Dissemination of Agricultural Technology (PUSTAKA) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Indonesia. This research aims to provide an overview of how the PUSTAKA special library can be involved in creating service innovations for the public through social inclusion programs. The method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The study results illustrate that PUSTAKA contributes to the community by improving the skills of farmers related to crop pest management, from planting to post-harvest.
Development of Student Librarians as a Higher Education Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) with the Ganda Ciamis Reading Park Forum

ENG: This study discusses the contribution of developing student librarian programs as initiatives for social responsibility and non-formal education undertaken by higher education institutions. The aim of this research is to explain the concept of student librarians as extracurricular activities for students in schools, as well as the impact of this program as a university's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The research method used is qualitative, with the research process encompassing preparation, training for elementary school students, and evaluation. The research took place in the village of Kawali Ciamis in collaboration with the Forum Taman Baca Ganda Ciamis. The results of the study show that there is interest and support from both schools and the reading park forum, indicating a new form of non-formal education that should exist in schools. Student librarians represent a form of non-formal education aimed at cultivating children's reading interests, literacy skills, and library usage from a young age. As a result, it can become an extracurricular activity that fosters students' reading interests and encourages peer-to-peer reading engagement. Developing the student librarian program as a non-formal education initiative within university libraries, also as a form of CSR, has the potential to make a sustainable contribution to enhancing literacy and empowering communities.
Digital Knowledge, Skills and Application Among Librarians and Library Staff of Munparlas Library Association

ENG: Objective: The study aimed to identify and assessed librarians and library staff level of digital knowledge, level of digital skills, and level of digital application who are members of MUNPARLAS Library Association, Inc. Methodology: Descriptive-correlational research design were used in this study to provide static pictures of situations as well as to establish the relationship between different variables. The respondents of this study are 60 Librarians and Library Personnel who are members of MUNPARLAS Library Association, Inc. Results: Findings revealed that the respondents' level of digital knowledge was very high, with an average weighted mean of 3.39. The respondents' level of digital skills was also very high, with an average weighted mean of 3.25. Additionally, the respondents' level of digital application was very high, with an average weighted mean of 3.52. There was a significant relationship between the respondents' digital knowledge and digital skills, as indicated by a p-value of 0.000, which was lower than the Pearson r-value of 0.812. Similarly, there was a significant relationship between the respondents' digital skills and digital application, with a p-value of 0.000, lower than the Pearson r-value of 0.712. Lastly, there was also a significant relationship between the respondents' digital knowledge and digital application, with a p-value of 0.000, lower than the Pearson r-value of 0.649. Therefore, it is necessary to propose an action plan to sustain the digital knowledge, skills, and application among librarians and library staff at MLAI. Conclusion: The findings of this study underscore the importance of digital literacy in the field of librarianship. MLAI should continue to prioritize the cultivation of digital knowledge, skills, and application among its staff to adapt to the evolving needs of its users and to stay ahead in the digital age.
Hospitality Ethics at Padjadjaran University Library Based on Sundanese Culture

ENG: This research discusses the implementation of Sundanese Cultural values in improving services at the Padjadjaran University library through a qualitative approach with data collection methods of observation, literature study, interviews, and analysis of interactions that occur between librarians and library users. The main focus in this research is to identify elements of Sundanese culture that can be implemented into library services to create an experience for library users. The results show that elements of Sundanese culture, such as a friendly smile, polite language, well-mannered appearance, manners and the concept of "Silih Asah, silih asuh, silih asih" are actively implemented in library services to create a friendly environment, such interactions not only increase library users' satisfaction but also enrich their culture. In the context of Sundanese culture, hospitality is not only limited to service, but also includes a sense of care and respect that can be seen in every interaction between librarians and library users. However, there are challenges that arise in maintaining the consistency of Sundanese culture in library services in the current era of technology and modernization. Therefore, this research serves as a practical guide to preserve the values of Sundanese culture for library hospitality even in the context of modern institutions.
How Difficult Could it be? Experiences in Sharing and Adapting Open Educational Resources and Practices (presentation)

ENG: Open Educational Resources (OER) and Practices continue to offer valuable opportunities for librarians to upskill and engage in education more and more actively. In this presentation, Paola Corti (Politecnico di Milano and SPARC Europe, Italy) and Mira Buist-Zhuk (University of Groningen, Netherlands) come together to share two parallel experiences they have contributed to. In the first case study, Paola explores the intricate process of localising a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) from English to Ukrainian, emphasising the challenges and solutions encountered during the translation and adaptation of this OER. Drawing from their second endeavour, Mira delves into the development and adaptation of a series of interactive workshops designed to empower educators and librarians in the publishing of open textbooks. By sharing these experiences, they aim to shed light on the practical complexities and rewarding moments involved in adapting and disseminating open educational resources and practices across diverse educational settings. This presentation will provide valuable insights for librarians, educators, and educational stakeholders looking to harness and multiply the potential of open education in their respective contexts.
Implementation of EZProxy and Train the Librarian for Supporting the Library Services on Pandemic of COVID-19 in Universitas Padjadjaran

ENG: In response to the unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, academic institutions worldwide have been compelled to innovate their approaches to delivering library services for their patrons. The proposed paper explores the implementation of EZProxy, a remote authentication software, alongside librarian training initiatives at Universitas Padjadjaran to facilitate uninterrupted access to library resources amidst the pandemic. This study examines the integration of EZProxy into the university's digital infrastructure and its impact on enabling remote access for students and researchers from anywhere outside the campus area. Additionally, the paper dig deeper into the training programs designed to equip librarians with the skills to navigate this new digital landscape and provide effective virtual assistance as a Subjects Specialist. The findings highlight the significance of technological solutions such as EZProxy in sustaining library services during times of crisis and emphasize the crucial role of trained librarians in ensuring seamless academic support. The study contributes to the discourse on leveraging technology and professional development to adapt to unprecedented challenges and maintain the integrity of educational services in the face of global crisis. This paper will describe the experiences of how Universitas Padjadjaran can handle the response of user needs in the pandemic COVID-19 with using technology and integrate it seamlessly with our trained librarian as Subjects Specialist.
Impractical Practicum? Analyzing the Impact of Online Work Immersion Among the Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) Students Amidst the Pandemic (presentation)

ENG: Learning by doing is considered one of the most effective ways to determine the application of practical knowledge as well as theories learned at school. Through hands-on, internships, practicum, or work immersion, students get the chance to apply their learnings in the real world and see if the education is relevant to the actual workforce. However, the upsurge of the pandemic made a tremendous impact on how this activity will be implemented in educational institutions. With most, if not all, temporarily closing their physical doors and suddenly shifting to the online set-up, this activity became a challenging task for many professions including librarianship. This study aims to document the impact of online work immersion among Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) students at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. The study highlighted the experiences of BLIS students who underwent online work immersion during the school year 2022-2023 including their challenges and difficulties in completing their work immersion hours. The study revealed that most of the students experienced some challenges in terms of distance learning and connectivity issues. In addition, the said challenges were overcome through various coping mechanism strategies such as establishing rapport with workmates as well as learning and researching the given tasks in advance. The study also revealed a high preference for onsite practice training among students in terms of acquiring more knowledge and skills in the actual workforce.
The Influence of Cableway Parameters on the Energy Efficiency Transportation Process

ENG: The high importance of the development of alternative modes of transport, such as the cableways, leads the need to compare the various parameters and modes of this transport. It is rational to compare similar transportation systems in terms of energy efficiency parameters of the same type, such as drive type, capacity, travel speed, length, gradient angle, energy resources, ease of maintenance and upkeep. Electricity is currently the cleanest source of energy based on statistics. The drive has many parameters that affect its energy efficiency. A general method for calculating the energy efficiency of an electric motor for a cableway is presented. In order to ensure maximum energy efficiency in the process of transporting passengers by cableway, it is important when designing to correctly calculate the required maximum power.

ENG: As someone far from crises like the people of the Ukraine have faced, I have almost no business presenting answers to inspire others, only to share what I have received. My own awareness became more meaningful than what I saw in news and social media, thanks to the individual efforts to share stories at the human level. Through colleagues online I have been fortunate to first read the first hand stories of a USUST librarian living and working through the Russian invasion, and more opportunities to hear more in voice with caring support of a gifted translator (sharing the one Ukrainian expression I know), and to see in photos the people who preserved books, the inspiration and understanding grows exponentially. Later I can see in the background of one conference video a vase of sunflowers, which I cannot help seeing as a human thread over these distances. Small stories of individual experiences at the human level, unfolding and opening like flowers through multiple forms of media, are what inspire me.

Knowledge, Preparedness and Challenges in Hyflex Library Operations Among Higher Education Institutions (Heis) Librarians in Calabarzon Philippines

ENG: Traditional library operations have been a staple in society for centuries by providing access to printed books and other resources. However, with the rise of technology, changing patron needs and the crisis induced by the COVID-19 outbreak, librarians adopted the hybrid and flexible (HyFlex) library operations to provide students, faculty, and staff with equitable access to learning resources and services. This study looked into the knowledge, preparedness and challenges in HyFlex library operations among Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) librarians in CALABARZON. Descriptive in nature, the study utilized a self-made questionnaire which was accomplished by 148 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) librarians in CALABARZON. Findings revealed that majority of the respondents were female, aged 31 to 40 years old, with Librarian positions and with 11 to 15 years in service. Findings also showed that respondents had a very high level of knowledge and preparedness in Hyflex library operations. However, they experienced challenges in the implementation of hybrid and flexible operations. Findings also revealed that there was no significant difference on the respondents’ level of knowledge on Hyflex library operations when grouped according to their age, gender, position and years in service. However, there was a significant difference in the respondents’ level of preparedness for Hyflex library operations when grouped according to their gender, while there are no significant differences on the respondents’ level of preparedness for Hyflex library operations when grouped according to their age, position and years in service. As a whole, the findings implicate that despite the challenges in the implementation of hybrid and flexible operations, Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) librarians in CALABARZON had a very high level of knowledge and preparedness in Hyflex library operations. Hence, Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) should implement the action plan formulated and continue to adapt innovation to enhance practices in hybrid and flexible library operations.

Librarians Leading the Way for Open Education

ENG: Librarians have begun to take on a leading role in the support of open educational resources (OER). Whether they are starting a small service or leading a large program, librarians supporting OER are making a huge impact on the access to information. Open education librarians might support OER in many ways, and librarians who do not have OER in their job duties can also make great partners for the promotion and sharing of these resources. In this presentation, I share examples of how a mature OER program supports instructors using OER and why librarians are particularly well-suited to leading OER programs.
Libraries Civic Roles and Responsibilities: Issues in Information Crises and Information Disorders

ENG: Introduction. Public libraries can be strong advocates of civic engagement. Libraries that educate and inform society have a responsibility to rekindle civil society and must spread their role beyond physical and virtual space. Civic practices on fighting fake news in certain areas are highlighted. Coward et al. (2018) mentioned several examples. Public libraries can use their influence to help students and librarians spot misinformation and caution others against spreading it. The objective of this paper is to introduce how librarians understand information crises and information disorders. Methods. Using discourse analysis, public librarians were interviewed to identify how they conceptualize and understand information disorders. Results. This ongoing study showed that their understanding of credible sources should be verified, objective, and reliable. An in-depth analysis is underway for this study. Conclusions. This pilot study provides a picture of how public librarians interact with the information around them and how they are able to filter information circulating on social media.
Mathematical Modeling of Rational Parameters of the Mine Locomotive Disc Brake in Computer Systems

ENG: Purpose. Determination of braking torque parameters that provide high braking performance of a mine locomotive by mathematical modeling of the braking of a mine locomotive by a disc brake that creates a pulsating braking torque. Methodology. Forced vibrations of the elements of the wheel-motor unit (WMU) of a mine locomotive in the process of braking with a disc brake are studied by the methods of differential calculus and mathematical modeling. Integration of the system of differential equations is performed by the Runge-Kutt method. Findings. A comparative analysis of a mine locomotive braking by a disc brake, which creates a constant and pulsating sinusoidal braking torque with a different number of sinusoid periods per revolution of the wheel pair, is carried out. It has been proved that the pulsating sinusoidal braking moment generated on the axle of the wheel pair equal to the sum of the constant component and the amplitude of the oscillations of the variable component multiplied by the sine of the product of the number of sinusoid periods per revolution of the wheel pair by its angular coordinate provides higher braking characteristics than the constant braking moment. It is shown that pulsating braking torque reduces the braking time and braking distance of the mine locomotive. The values of the amplitude of oscillations, which depend on the average value of the braking torque, and the number of periods of the sinusoid per one revolution of the wheelset, at which the greatest effect is achieved, are determined. Originality. For the first time, a mathematical model has been developed for braking a mine locomotive by a disc brake, which creates a pulsating braking torque on the axle of the wheel pair, depending on its angular coordinate, taking into account the nonlinear dependence of the adhesion coefficient on relative slip, on the basis of which the efficiency of a disc brake with a multi-sector disc is shown in comparison with a disc brake with a homogeneous disk under various conditions of the rail track. Practical value. The research results make it possible to determine the parameters of a disc brake with a multi-sector disc located on the wheelset axle and on the engine shaft, which provide the highest braking efficiency.
Modern Ukrainian Features of the System Design of IT-Architectures of Rehabilitated Enterprises

ENG: After the end of martial law in peaceful Ukraine, one of the priority tasks will be the reconstruction of destroyed enterprises and industries. These processes must begin with the conceptual design of the IT architectures of the restored enterprises. However, the successful resolution of these tasks has a number of established difficulties. The paper provides a list of these features, which affect the paradigm shift of computerization and the transition of management systems to socio-computer-integrated systems. These peculiarities require changes in the training of Masters in Computer Engineering and their accelerated training in the new curriculum (as future systems analysts). In order to organize such training, a methodology for conceptual design of IT-architectures, including Soft Skills, is proposed.
NeuraL Network Modeling of Plasma-Chemical Processes of Obtaining Nanosystems

ENG: Plasma-chemical technology is a new area of industrial chemical technology. Chemical processes in low-temperature plasma, the regularities of reactions, and the basis of plasma-chemical technology will require computer simulation. Building adequate simulation models of plasma-chemical processes for developing nanosystems and computer simulations with them allows the development of applied research studies in this subject area. Computer intelligence technologies provide an opportunity to use non-classical approaches to building mathematical models of chemical processes. Neural network technologies make it possible to create mathematical simulation models of various processes.
PID-Ifying the Open Research Ecosystem: Successful Stories of the use of ORCID and other Persistent Identifiers

ENG: Persistent identifiers (PIDs) have become an essential part of the scientific information infrastructure. In addition to allowing content disambiguation, citation and recognition or linking different entities in the research ecosystem, they allow us to have a series of associated metadata. This presentation will deal with the inclusion of PIDs in the different infrastructures. It will also present examples of successful implementation stories with a special focus on university and research libraries.
Professional Competencies and Job Performance of Select Academic Librarians in the 21st Century

ENG: Objective: Academic libraries formulate missions, visions, goals, and objectives based on the aims of the parent organization. There are issues with how librarianship is introduced, particularly in post-generation Z, when individuals have misconceptions about the functions of librarians. This study examined the level of Professional Competencies and Job Performance of Selected Academic Librarians in the 21st Century. Methodology: Descriptive-correlation method of research to provide static pictures of situations as well as to establish relationship between different variables. The respondents of this study are selected Academic Librarians in Region IV-A Philippines. Results: Findings revealed that majority of respondents were 31 years old and above and were female. Meanwhile, the majority of the respondents attained their bachelor's degree and had been in the service for 10 years and below. The academic librarians are highly competent in managing information technologies among three domains of professional competencies. The academic librarians are achieving very high level of job performance maintaining high quantity of work, fulfilling job duties, consistent for high quality of work, respond to the needs of users, provide accurate resources, demonstrate responsiveness, able to use technology, and actively participate in forums. The academic librarians aged 31 years old and above, with master's degree and have 11 years and above of service have higher level of professional competencies than their younger counterpart, with bachelor's degree and 10 years and below of service. The higher the respondents' level of professional competencies in all its dimensions, the higher the level of respondent’s job performance. Conclusion: It can be concluded that the majority of academic librarians in this study were female, 31 years old and above. They had a bachelor's degree and 10 years or less of service. Academic librarians showed high competence in managing information technologies and consistently performed well in their job duties. Older librarians with a master's degree and over 11 years of service displayed higher professional competency and job performance compared to younger librarians with a bachelor's degree and less than 10 years of service. There was a positive correlation between professional competencies and job performance. Overall, academic librarians in this study exhibited strong professional competencies and high job performance. Reaching Users Through Social Media: A Case Study On The Use Of Instagram By Islamic Higher Education Libraries In Indonesia

ENG: Objective. This research aims to identify the use of social media by Indonesian Islamic Higher Education Libraries to communicate with their users through their regular postings on Instagram and the users’ responses to them. Methods. This research applies quantitative methods to uncover data concerning the number of Instagram posts made by UIN libraries and the users’ responses (i.e. like, comment, share, and save), and then analyzes them using a qualitative approach to identify the users’ responses. Results. UIN libraries reach users by posting information related to libraries on Instagram that can be classified into eight types of posts; greetings, announcements, library promotions, book donations, quotes, and others. The number of responses to these types of posts varies from each library but posting information related to library services will invite most responses from library users. The library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta is the most active library in posting information on Instagram. Conclusion. Instagram is a good medium to reach library users in UIN libraries. However, the availability of policies regarding the use of Instagram in the library is needed since it influences the number of posts on Instagram. Timing (i.e.. when is the best time to make an Instagram post?) is also important since it makes a post get more responses.

ENG: The libraries are the institutions showing the society they are located in as well as cultural inheritage of the area. Whenever crisis occur, the books’ stock, and any other event ran by libraries and librarians get a new approach when people start considering national, cultural, and personal identity in situations such as war, revolution, or any other natural disaster. Crisis may add value to access to collections once thought secure. As Rayward notes, both “social continuity and social change are dependent on and supported by” the information infrastructure provided by institutions such as libraries (Rayward and Jenkins, 2007, p. 362). The role of librarians and information literacy experts is crucial in order to fight the fake news and rumours whether they were deliberately being spread out as a part of media war or as a consequence of non-well informed sources of information. Not only in order to avoid any confusion and even more chaos that may occur as the result of fear that misinformation or disinformation can cause but also to offer the trustful and verified information, the role of librarians and information literacy experts is significant.

ENG: The purpose of the study is to observe the peculiarities of conducting the elective “School of leadership” for applicants. A comprehensive approach to the study of the problem led to the use of such theoretical research methods as the analysis of philosophical, pedagogical, psychological and sociological literature to identify the specifics of leadership and leadership competence, the analysis of online resources, synthesis, comparison, generalization of various scientific approaches to the basic concepts of the study and determination of the specifics of the organization and conducting the elective “School of leadership”. The work clarifies the essence of the concepts “leadership competence”, “elective”, “elective class”, discloses the peculiarities of organization and conduct, main tasks, content modules, organizational and pedagogical conditions of the elective “School of leadership”. The work describes the knowledge and skills that students will be able to improve and develop thanks to a properly planned and organized elective using the resources of online repositories. Particular attention is paid to the features of ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the elective for the formation of students’ leadership competence and the content of the elective “School of leadership”, which depends on the achievement of the set goal, aims and tasks for the development of student-leaders.

Transporting Filipiniana: Documentation and Assessment of the Movement or Relocation of Library, Archives, and Museum Collections

ENG: Libraries, archives, and museums have always played an important role in the lifelong learning of people by providing access to information, history, and culture. Disasters became threats to the conservation of both the infrastructures and the collections of these institutions. The safety and protection of the people should always be the top concern during disasters and pandemics, but the protection and moving of collections in institutions should also be prioritized. This study explored the various motivations of five (5) Filipiniana institutions for moving their collections and how they mitigate the accompanying risks. These institutions are the Filipinas Heritage Library (FHL), the Lopez Museum and Library (LML), the National Archives of the Philippines (NAP), the National Library of the Philippines (NLP), and the University of the Philippines Diliman – Main Library (UPDML). To support the study, qualitative and quantitative data were carefully analyzed and interpreted. For the quantitative approach, the data was tabulated and analyzed using Brokerhof’s (2006) formula R = P x E to determine the risks. Then, based on the products of the probability (P) and effect (E), the risks’ ratings were determined to prioritize the strategies/ measures to be made. It was revealed in this study that the motivations of the respondents in moving their collections are both extrinsic (renovation, development of new house/building, obligated, construction, and major rehabilitation) and intrinsic (gladness, pride, enjoyment, entrusted, and happiness). It is necessary to identify the risks that threaten the collections of Filipiniana institutions because of moving. Through this study, certain risks and their levels were identified by the institutions, and they can now prioritize them to make effective decisions. Although most of the risks are low level, institutions should not totally ignore them because we will never know when these can happen to our institutions. Just like what happened to the National Archives of the Philippines; fire was recorded as low risk, but they were hit again by fire after they moved to their new location. Based on the data gathered, the researcher created a framework that can be used by institutions that are planning to move their collection. It interrelates motivations, risk management standards and methods, and Filipiniana collection as the foundation of a successful transporting or moving of collections. In moving the collections, it is important to know the motivations of the institutions because this contributes to the success of the movement. Furthermore, the risk assessment in various types of collections will determine whether the movement processes of the Filipiniana institutions are safe for their collections and for people. Lastly, if these risks are not mitigated, the possibility of loss and damage may happen, and a negative impact on the institutions’ motivations will occur.
University of Groningen Press: Navigating the Open Textbook Publishing Landscape

ENG: In this session, we will share the experience of the University of Groningen Press (UGP) with its first open textbook publishing pilot. UGP is a new university press that has transformed into a dynamic hub for diamond open access publishing. Our experience in facilitating open access journals and monographs has paved the way for our latest initiative - an open textbook publishing service. UGP's integration of interactive, student-centered open textbooks into its portfolio embodies our commitment to supporting open education and facilitating the cross-disciplinary synergy within open science. Drawing upon insights from the ongoing pilot, we will briefly explore UGP's open textbook publishing journey. We will do so by discussing what it takes to set up a functional open textbook pilot and garner support for its implementation. Additionally, we will showcase the platforms we use to support academics in publishing our university’s first open textbooks. We hope this session helps the audience generate valuable insights for their own endeavors in open textbook publishing and ensuring access to knowledge, especially in times of high-level crisis.
Use of Artificial Intelligence as an Element of Student’s Cognitive Activity Activation during the Lecture

ENG: Purpose. Show the possibilities provided by the use of the artificial intelligence (AI) model - the language model ChatGPT (version 3.5) from the Open AI company to activate the cognitive activity of students during lectures. Methodology. Application of ChatGPT (version 3.5) during online lectures and collective search for possible inaccuracies in AI answers, based on previously acquired theoretical knowledge of the discipline. Findings. It is shown that the use of AI during online lectures can significantly revive the cognitive activity of students and their interest in the material of the lectures and increase the quality of assimilation of sections of disciplines that are difficult for students to perceive and, as a result, the quality of the formation of key competencies and program learning outcomes. Originality. Using the AI model as an active participant in the educational process and discussions on intricate issues of the academic discipline. Practical value. It is shown that the use of AI systems similar to ChatGPT in the educational process can be very useful in terms of modernizing didactics and learning design and can be applied in the online educational process.

Актуальність системи прямого керування моментом асинхронного двигуна

UKR: У статті розроблено математичну модель системи DTC (direct torque control) електропривода змінного струму для задач рухомого складу міського електротранспорту, як альтернативу комплексному векторному керуванню асинхронним двигуном з урахуванням його актуальність, принципи дії та причини виникнення. Проведено дослідження математичної моделі прямого керування моментом асинхронного двигуна в MATLAB, виявлено її основні недоліки, які обмежують сферу її застосування. Основним завданням системи DTC є ідентифікація потокозчеплення статора, що вирішується шляхом інтегрування з накопиченням похибок. Джерелом накопичення похибок є неточність визначення активного опору статора та його зміни під час роботи асинхронного двигуна. Система DTC має недолік, пов'язаний з появою пульсацій крутного моменту і коливань частоти обертання ротора при малих навантаженнях.
Аналіз беззбитковості для формування цінової стратегії підприємства

UKR: Мета. Формування інформаційної і технічної бази для удосконалення цінової стратегії підприємства з метою подальшого зростання прибутку. Методика. Аналітичні методи аналізу беззбитковості, які визначають величину беззбиткового обігу підприємства за видами продукції з подальшим розробленням заходів для досягнення і подолання межі беззбитковості в короткостроковому періоді. Результати. За наведеною методикою був проведений аналіз впливу різних факторів на точки беззбитковості та запасу безпеки в умовах ПАТ «Інтерпайп НТЗ». Результати, дозволили зробити висновок, що найбільшого зростання прибутку підприємство отримує за рахунок зміни ціни. Наукова новизна. Результати дослідження дозволили виявити основні резерви підвищення прибутку, а саме удосконалення цінової стратегії, розрахованої на підвищення якості продукції, та покращення індивідуальної роботи з кожним замовником. Практична значимість. Отримано обґрунтування пропозиції щодо поліпшення фінансових результатів діяльності підприємства, які можливо застосувати як в короткостроковому і середньостроковому, так і в довгостроковому періодах відносно розробки ефективної та гнучкої цінової політики на підприємстві.
Аналіз ефективності використання захисних екранів на зниження рівня забруднення повітря

UKR: Розглянуто задачу оцінки зон хімічного забруднення біля магістралі, де розташовані захисні екрани різної геометричної форми. Метою роботи є розробка чисельних моделей для розрахунку зон забруднення, що утворюються біля захисних екранів, а також проведення лабораторного експерименту з аналізу закономірностей формування зон забруднення біля екранів складної геометричної форми. Для математичного моделювання процесу утворення зон забруднення біля захисного екрана використовується рівняння конвективно-дифузійного переносу домішок. Це рівняння враховує атмосферну дифузію, швидкість вітру, інтенсивність викидів хімічно небезпечної речовини, розташування джерела викидів і форму захисного екрана. Для вирішення задачі аеродинаміки використовуються рівняння Нав'є-Стокса і рівняння Лапласа для потенціалу швидкості. Скінченно-різницеві методи використовуються для чисельного інтегрування рівнянь моделювання. На основі розроблених числових моделей створено пакет прикладних програм. Побудовано числові моделі та пакет програм, що дозволяють практично в режимі реального часу досліджувати процес формування ділянок забруднення поблизу автомагістралі. Наведено результати обчислювального експерименту.
Аналіз наслідків екстремальних ситуацій на базі чисельних моделей

UKR: У доповіді розглянуто деякі класи чисельних моделей, які були побудовані для прогнозування наслідків надзвичайних ситуацій на промислових підприємствах. Розроблено перший клас моделей для прогнозування хімічного забруднення повітря при аварійних викидах токсичних речовин. Моделювання здійснюється на основі фундаментальних рівнянь аеродинаміки та масообміну. Для чисельного розв’язування рівнянь моделювання використовуються різницеві схеми розщеплення. Другий клас моделей CFD призначений для оцінки ризику термічного ураження людей у разі теплового забруднення повітряного середовища. Третій клас моделей був розроблений для оцінки ризику ураження людей при русі ударної хвилі. Для вирішення цієї задачі використовувалися рівняння Ейлера. На основі запропонованих числових моделей розроблено комп’ютерні коди.
